| 8 degree knuckle weights These are 8 degree knuckle weights for VP knuckles they are made of a mixture of carbon fiber and delrin. The weights are tungsten and will have to be purshaced seperate from any hobby shop or online store that carry's pinecar derby parts. All other hardware is supplied and also come's with a set of .062 delrin spacers So that if you run 600 hubs it will give you a little extra space in between the weight holder and wheel. The price will be $45.00 shipped to the lower 48 international shipping will be extra. send paypal to bigrons4@yahoo.com Here is the link for the weights http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXYMT9&P=ML |

| Sorry I am not very good at this hole thread building thing. Each tungsten weight weighs .500 oz there is nine peice's in each side so one side of just weights is 4.5oz counting the delrin and weights you wind up with a little over 5.0 oz.

Well, mine arrived and I am quite pleased. I did, however, have to drill out the holes with a 3/8" bit to get these weights to fit: http://www.derbymonkeygarage.com/pro..._pkg-40-0.html No biggie though. Mine ended up weighing 4.6oz/side.....EXCATLY what I removed from my homemade weights. Thanks Ron! Here are a few pics: Tucked in nicely: Last edited by JeremyH; 07-27-2011 at 06:53 PM. |

Will these work with either ssz-11's, DH II's or Wicked J's?? Or will it just depend on the hub used?

They will work with any wheel you may have to add a spacer between the carbon fiber bracket and the delrin peice that hold the weights. I am going to start putting a .125 spacer in the kit for this reason. Jeremy is using them with wheelworks wheels and I beleive it was a direct bolt up without any issue's. | |

Here's a copy of my install post... My new BigRon's knuckle weights for the VP 8*knuckles came in. In the pic, one is already loaded with tungsten slugs. They go together easily. First, you have to put the mounting bracket on with the provided hardware: If you notice, the VP knuckles come with screw holes tapped in them for mounting weights: ...and mounted: The BigRon's weights came with hub spacers for the SLW's...just in case: They just sit right on the hub, leaving enough of the center lip to still center the wheel. The only down side is that I had to go to a wider hub than I used to use, and because one of the wheels or maybe a shaft was bent slightly, I needed to also use the spacer. Installed... View from above... Last edited by EvilTwin v2; 08-23-2011 at 11:01 AM. |
