I have the wide splined V1, I guess. Not yet installed. My plan was to glue the tubes to the front housing and be able to easily remove the rear housing for access to the no-slop locker and to lube the gears.

Wouldn't the V2 sleeves prevent us from easily removing just a half housing? Or maybe I don't understand the difference.

I thought I did, but guess not. I dont have the housing anymore because it's in a friends truck for prototyping

It's just a different process. Instead of pulling off half the case, you take out a couple screws, and slide it out. The cut down chub keeps the ends from deflecting.

Anyone that wants to send in their V1 to be re-machined is welcome to do so for just the cost of shipping. But you will of course need to use a new housing.


So far the test housing is working great with only 2 screws in it. I would probably do 4 per side for safe measure, but it's much less than the 6 per side with a bunch of lock tite and glue lol.

So I assume the machining difference is you turn down the "spacer" section behind the splines, allowing that section of tube to fit inside the housing. And probably the old bearing shoulder inside the housing has to be carved away?

Do you mean 8/16? There is up to a 2 week lead time on these parts. I am going to do em this week on my next batch. I broke my new grooving tool the other day so I have to grind a new one. Sorry for the delays. Feel free to PM me for any more questions
