I think so. Last time I saw that combo used the guy drilled out the vp top hole larger. I'd like to see a pic of that once the thing gets installed with the vp hoops.

Hmm I don't see how bigger holes would fix the problem. Wouldn't it make the mount loose? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk |

Not loose after you screw it together. The top hole getting larger will let the screws fit into the hole easier because the smaller screw isn't sitting in the center of the bigger hole.

Drilled the holes on the top of the shock hoops and with a little force I got it to fit. |

ha finaly ordered the motor front mount, got it to day! and got a question, I got the 4 screws to mount the motor mount, and 3 spacers, and 2 shorter screws... What are the shorter screws used for? | |

The 2 short screws are for the motor, the 4 screws are for the mount attachment, and the 3 spacers replace the spur cover, reusing the stock trans bolts.

Has anyone had any luck running the front motor plate along with a VP pan hard mount?

Damn, thanks for the response though. Any other options? I already have all the vp stuff dialed in.

Is there a problem using a Hot Racing transmission case with metal gears and this mount? I've tried using one and when I tighten everything up it binds the gears really bad where it can spin freely at all, but there's still a lot of play with the top shaft? I still have a plastic Axial case if needed. I just want to actually start working on my JK but can't do much if the transmission won't work.

Shouldn't be. Likely the HR case is too tight after you tighten down the bolts. So... tighten the bolts less and use locktite to secure the screws. The type of motor plate won't change the way the trans works/doesn't work.
