| GCM MetalHead Axle Pre-Order Now Open
This is the release for the first run of MetalHead Axial Axle Housings designed by Jens. These are scheduled to ship out April 25th in time for MSD. Thanks. Tell your friends, and get orders in now. They are strong and they are expensive. Please see the MetalHead review in RCCA October 2011 >>Here<< >>> PRE-ORDER HERE <<< This unit is a STEEL axle center section, a one piece unit that houses ALL the axial locker and ring gear combinations (best we can tell), and hold a set of STEEL axle tubes. You want strong, this is it. You want to make a custom 3 Link or 4 Link, you can weld it right on. You want clean, these are the most scale set of axles you can get for Axial parts. __________________________________________________ ______________________________ Shown below is the 'Customizer Set' which has NO tabs for mounting, no holes for links or anything. You will need to braze or weld on your links/leaf/shock mounts. These have no finish at all, bare steel, bare aluminum. Included in each order for a rear axle is: 2 aluminum rear bearing holders 2 steel axle tubes 1 steel center carrier 1 aluminum rear cover 1 aluminum 3rd front pinion member all hex hardware included. $150 Included in each order for a front axle is: 2 steel axle tubes (for Axial knuckle parts) 1 steel center carrier 1 aluminum rear cover 1 aluminum 3rd front pinion member all hex hardware included. $140 >>> PRE-ORDER HERE <<< __________________________________________________ _______________________________ Shown below is the 'Standard Set' which includes lower link tabs for mounting, and the screw boss holes up top on the axles to use any of your current tab-mounted stuff. The tubes have strong screw threads in them to hold your truss or leaf mounts. The tubes also have strong threads for a lower link mounting tab that screws on the tube. The Axial Y link on the top of the diff, or diff mounted servo, is not supported with this design. These have no finish at all, bare steel, bare aluminum. Included in each order for a rear axle is: 2 aluminum rear bearing holders 2 steel axle tubes 1 steel center carrier 1 aluminum rear cover 1 aluminum 3rd front pinion member 2 aluminum top screw boss tabs 2 aluminum lower link mount tabs all hex hardware included. $188 Included in each order for a front axle is: 2 steel axle tubes 1 steel center carrier 1 aluminum rear cover 1 aluminum 3rd front pinion member 2 aluminum top screw boss tabs 2 aluminum lower link mount tabs all hex hardware included. $177 >>> PRE-ORDER HERE <<< The front axle is designed to take your CURRENT axial axle steering components and C hubs. What you have should be a direct fit. On the rear, your lockouts you have now are not needed, and the long tubes have a fully integrated aluminum outside bearing carrier made to fit. Thanks for producing these and dealing with all of our crap while trying to figure them out! Sucks they won't be a normally stocked item. |

I have to make at least a hundred pigs, how they come can vary. If there's enough orders I'll try to keep some in stock, but its got to top a hundred to get started.

Do you have any real pictures of them? These are 3d renders right? I'm just wondering how smooth the bevels are. |

I'll get you some pics after the first run is off. They should be real close to the renderings with only some basic tool markings on them. I also had a cool idea for a 3/4 link truss to bolt to the top of the 'standard' units. Going to hammer that one out after the first set gets done, and then I'll put up the offering on the site. |

Anyway we could possibly get some rough dimensions? Just so we can play with designing our mounts while we wait.

I was thinking more on height/width of pumpkin(center carrier width would work fine) and tube O.D. I understand length is the same. Sorry I wasn't clear. I just want to start designing. |
