| Re: AR60/Wraith Servo/Truss/Link mount
I bought the original servo/link mount and I am in the process of building my crawler now. I came up with an improvement that I would like to share. Where the upper links mount to the aluminum spacer, the mounting hole is centered. To make it more adjustable, I propose an off center hole in the top two aluminum spacers so it can be flipper to acquire adjustable pinion angles if needed. My upper links are fixed but could benefit from this option during testing. Just thought I would throw that out there. |

I always like to reward when people give me ideas. If it would work, we could possibly work something out. If I get what youre saying, you would offset the hole but then I think the rod end would run into the front carbon piece? |

Does the standard steering link fit after this is installed? Looking at getting one of these (Ultra 4 style) for a monster truck build on AR60 axles. Looking at doing these instead of beef tubes.

I am trying to think of a reason that the tie rod would not work..... I dont think it even enters the area? Sorry, I am not a big "standard" Wraith guy. Maybe somebody else knows better? For sure, the drag link and stock servo mount dont work. I am sure you figured that one out on your own though. |

| Re: AR60/Wraith Servo/Truss/Link mount The tie rod should still work, drag link length may change depending on servo, servo arm exact servo mount height etc.....easy fix though. |

Ordered up a full u4 set to try. Looking forward to putting them on and trying them on my monster truck build. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk |

Wish you could make something better than the original axial servomount on the axle..

I'm running an SCX chassis with Wraith axles, three link, CMS, panhard, blah, blah, blah. After installing D-lux's servo relocation kit, my steering is amazingly more powerful now. Yes, it's a scaler, not a sporty, but I like to have a scale looking rig that can actually crawl. Lower COG, better steering, more room in the batt./elect. compartment! Great product, thanks Eric!!! |

So you did away with the CMS and went back to axle mount?

Sorry it has been a month since I looked at this.... The parts I am referring to are the carbon sides standoff where you attach the upper links. I use a fixed length upper link where the only adjust-ability would be adding spacers between the link and the rod end. The idea was to have that standoff/upper link mounting hole to be off center so I could flip it to gain slight pinion angle adjust-ability without building a new link or adding spacers as stated above. Upon further investigation, I ran into the issue of front to rear standoff between the carbon pieces was too small. After mounting the standoff between the carbon pieces, the screws, when installed into the standoff, only allowed for just enough room for the cross screw (upper link mount screw) to pass between. If the whole was offset, it would require a larger gap, ie. shorter mounting screws, thus reducing strength and reliability. I'll get some pictures if I think about it this evening. | |

Two questions for you. Running the full truss, does it eliminate the need for beef tubes to strengthen the housings for bashing with obscene power, or do you recommend both for belts and suspenders? Given the relocated servo position, has anyone run these with 4ws? Does it put the rear servo in harm's way? Sent from my SHV-E330K using Tapatalk |

I would say it does eliminate the need for beef tubes at the least, for most people. Is there somebody that could break a housing with this truss? I dont know but I would assume so. I never underestimate you guys. I think this truss will fix housing breakage for 99.9% though. To my knowledge, there has not been a broken housing yet with the front truss. I know of a single one that has broken with the rear but the truss held it together and could still run (not recommended). If you have issues with the rear, there are ways to make it even stronger but most dont even need that. I know a lot of these being shipped out have been 2 front sets. Hopefully somebody will chime in. I know Wheels7 has been running a front truss in the rear so I will see if he will add some info. |

The only issue is that you can strip the threads on the plastic housing easily, which happens anyway, so if you wanted a lower cg and strong threads, these would work well with some tubes, otherwise some threaded inserts will be all that is needed. I love my Dlux trusses! |

Dlux trusses to the rescue on the Ultra Bouncer. Love them. even bought a spare set for future builds. Note buggy is sittin weird cause of the suspension and being on my futon lol. |

Does the U4 style truss fit the new clamping style Vp Chub?

I dont think the scale knuckles would change anything. Maybe there would be a slight clearance issue with the clamping bolt? All the rest looks the same though.
