Default AR60/Wraith Servo/Truss/Link mount

Hot off the press is the truss for the AR60/Wraith axles.

This truss will serve as a upper link mount, servo mount and truss. There is also a rear version that provides an upper link mount to match the front.

I am putting these up at rock bottom prices in hopes of pushing a huge quantity out the door.

$16 for the front sporty (truss, link, servo)
$12 for the rear sporty (link mount only)
$25 for the U4 rear
$35 for the U4 front

These will most likely start shipping Monday, Nov 4th.
  • Dropped servo for a much better COG
  • Servo is in a great spot for proper steering link geometry. This means more power and a more consistent feel.
  • Upper links are adjustable. This is really cool for the Wraith style guys who only have one upper link mount on their chassis. Raising the links at the axle has tested overly positive for us so I think it will be great even if you have adjustability at the chassis. Testing has shown much better sidehilling and climbing just by raising the links at the axle.
  • Steering links can be made so they are all behind the diff cover at all times. No more huge hang up points.
  • Servo horn does not extend past the front of the axle tube, no way it can get hit or in the way.

This is intended as a universal product. You may need to modify the mount, your car or your links to get it to work the way you want.

All sporty trusses will be made in carbon fiber. U4 trusses will be in aluminum. Sporty servo mounts include the low center of gravity stand offs, U4 trusses include the more robust servo mounts that also raise the servo up flush with the bottom of the housing.

Ultra version:

$33 for the front
$29 for the rear

Now shipping are the new full length, lockout to lockout, chub to chub carbon fiber trusses. This should significantly help or end breakage on the plastic housings.

The front truss not only strengthens but it also acts as a servo mount and an adjustable upper link mount. A piece of 1/4" Delrin has been added to reenforce the area where these housings most commonly break.

These are available on my website in the XR/Wraith category. dluxfab.com/products

Some of you guys should be getting these trusses tomorrow. Here are some simple instructions to get your trusses installed.

The rod balls must be Revo rod balls for there to be zero slop. Revo balls are smaller than Jato but larger than the shock balls. The Revo balls measure approx 7mm wide. You can use the 7mm Revo balls in multiple different rod ends to mix and match to get what you need.

Start off by building the truss complete off the axle housing.

Use the 6mm screws to hold the spacers to the CF.

Make note that there are spacers that have thru holes in them and there is 1 spacer per front or rear that is threaded. The spacer that is threaded will be the one that goes on the far end of the rod ends away from the long button head.

Now you can install the truss onto the axle using 10mm screws for the top of the diff and the top of the tube. For the horizontal screw that goes through the diff webbing, you will use a 18mm cap head for the front, 20mm button head for the rear.

For the front, you will want to install the servo mounts. The one closest to the diff simply screws onto the 18mm cap head you just put through. On the non diff side, you will want to put the 6mm set screw into the spacer, add a touch of loctite and then install the 2nd servo mount.

When you install the rod ends you can do a simple trick that makes like much easier. Leave the outside spacer a touch loose, install the 30mm button head screw, 2 rod ends and the single rod ball and tilt it until it is all on the screw. Once its on the screw, push it down until you can thread it into the threaded spacer.

In order to get the servo to sit flush you will need to take off the tiny rib on the back side. I dont think this is 100% necessary but its fast and easy.

All orders shipped and I have a couple left over

I am starting another batch ASAP so if I do run out, it should only be for a day or two.

Mine has landed in the UK, great stuff

I had an extra hex spacer in the pack, confused me enough to check the instructions

I noticed that when I put mine together... It's not right unless you have really important parts left over.

Yeah, and even better is that those spacers take a decent amount of time and suck to make!

Oh well. Enjoy! LOL

The truss is great craftsmanship is top notch as always. I wouldn't suggest doing that unless you have some plastic . My bank just sent me my new debit card and it has the D_Lux crown across the front of the card .. I said wow my own D_Lux account . But yes Erik has top notch products and customer service to go along with that. And he always has stuff up his sleeve to help all us out with great new products.

The instructions worked for me. Minimal head scratching. Maybe I need a bath. They went together real nice. Only suggestions I would have is putting the front and rear in different baggies when they are ordered together. Also I used a longer set screw for the servo mount. When I emptied the contents I thought uh oh but, it turned out great.

Cool!

Separate baggies is a good idea! I will implement that!

Looks like you have the servo posts on backwards, the side that has the least space between the edge of the post and the threaded hole should go towards the housing. This is why I cant use a longer (maybe a bit longer does work?) because the set screw will hit the button head on the housing and then the servo mount screw.

Thanks for the purchase and the feedback!
