got mine the other day. used axial machined gears in it.

the only thing that consernse me is the TI shaft is only held in place by the tight fit in the bearings.

The gear on the ti shaft has a pin in it when you put it together, correct?
If so, that's what holds it in.
If not, better take er back apart an get a gear pin in it..

it is in. but i am still kind of confused on how the shaft wont walk back.

if i put the pin on the other side it could just walk the gear into the middle one.

Once you attach a driveshaft to the short shaft, it won't "walk" anywhere.

your shaft needs to go through a lot further, then when you attach your driveshaft with a through pin, the driveshaft yolk will ride along the inner race of the bearing and not allow for the shaft (and pin) to back out of that gear

Thanks for the help.

I should have mentioned that this is going in a scaler. An will be used with a tranfercase behind it. Was planing on using the long side of the shaft to keep the motor as far back as i could.

you could just throw a yolk on there that does nothing... no uni or anything... or maybe just use a piece of aluminum tubing that fits over the shaft and drill a hole in it and cross pin it up tight to the bearing.. should be lots of ways to make it wokr

Also you may want to test that theory first, not sure about this one, but on the skinny, the reason the rear shaft is so long is so the yolk will extend past the end of the motor, otherwise it'd interfere with the motor, the motor can be meshed so tightly (with a small pinion) that it can touch the shaft.

pics of my Hulksta'd "MRC"?

Not much MRC left in it, lol

Here it is guys, the first look at my recently rebuilt 1.9 crawler, this truck started it's life as a losi mini rock crawler, pro kit... but there isn't much of that left at this point... Hulksta ax10 transmission, FRANKENAXLE frontend, axial and MIP driveshafts, xr10 stuff... custom chassis... only thing left stock is the front pumpkin and the rear axle!

Check it!

Here is a picture of my sucker punch with Hulk's killer trans.

The only issue I had when installing was the front drive shaft.
I had to grind the lip off the face that butts up against the trans.
Not a big deal at all tho.

Hi guys, I'll get to your PM's just struggling with the numbers of PM's since releasing the GB's (78 PM's still waiting replies and for every one answered it seems at least 2 more return )

The std international post doesn't have tracking, its the same as first class postage.. tracking is at request and costs 22-25$ .... So as it stands all I have is receipts of postage and the fact I have never ripped anyone off, in fact many cases ive given more to guys and never asked anything for it.

I really wish I had answers for you two Im spending all day tomorrow on PM's to try and get them out of the way so will get to yours tomorrow.

On a good note the bearings are here, I picked them up from the post office today and have started packing orders for the next lot... I'll have a think about postage tonight, I might make it tracked only postage on future orders to cover my ass, i'll let yous know in the morning what I decide to do, just a pain that postal services loose stuff
