Great work on these Bruce! Having the option to pick up the housing already modified should be a great service to take some of the anxiety out of getting things set up correctly and not botching the threads the first time around.

Thanks Ryan,
I know there are a couple other splined tube tubes out there, but it's always nice to have options

I have to say that Bruce has an incredible product here. The one reason that I've waited on doing this mod is because I wanted the front axle to match the width of the rear axle. This set-up is spot on and is beefy as heck. For the axles, I went with new Vanquish VVD's. Vanquish did a set for me that has the SCX-10 axle shafts with Wraith stubs. With the new shafts in hand, I had to extend the axle flats 6mm and trim 5mm (could have trimmed only 4mm) off the ends. At full turn, I have 3-4mm clearance between the wheels and shocks (stock) so no rubbing there. Thanks Bruce for you help and advice. So on to the pictures.

Any chance on there ever being a metal version available at all? I like the idea of a metal version of the Repair Tubes to add a lil bit more weight to the axles than the aluminum version and the whole metal threads being way stronger than aluminum would be sick too!

New axle showed up yesterday!

BND of BmachineRC did an Incredible job executing this axle setup!

When I did the rear steer on my scx, I realized that the narrow XR mod still left a gain in track width.
So when I saw the True width "repair" tubes from Bruce, I knew it had to be my new front axle!

I sent a Dlux modded scx housing and a VP wraith C's to Bruce and let him do his work.

I used as many vendor parts as I could.. Dlux modded scx housing, BmachineRC "repair" tubes, and a HH torquemaster spool.

It all fits beautifully with the "repair" tubes!

Bruce, do you do normal width xr shafts (the regular xr mod on the scx10 housing which is a hair wider than scx10 but narrower than XR) looking to run a press fit style locker and the tangs are very difficult to get nice and square while keeping the press fit size.

Thanks, Ben

Bruce does offer tang services..

I've been running this front axle setup and have absolutely loved it! Well worth the performance gain on this mod!
