These are now back in stock!

There has been a change...... I went from a 5x16 bearing to a 5x13 bearing. This leaves all the crucial materiel (no longer as deep) and then some but still gives a much better bearing than stock. In our testing we still did not wear out a bearing and had no housing issues.

In the picture there is a 5x13 bearing installed and to the lower left there is a 5x13 next to a stock 5x10 so you can see just how much bigger it still is.

Begs the question... are you able to install in a VP housing?

I dont see why it would be a problem for the VP housing. I am not sure I want to take the chance on a part that I make a couple of dollars on.

I can now see the SCX housing working also, if there were enough interest I would give these a shot again.

I'd be in for scx housings.. After the abuse I put the wraith axles thru, in game!
Specially now the scx is running a HH trailmaster BL and testing it on 4s!

All pics are of different breaks over the last month or so and of diff breaks.
I have so far lost/broke both stub shafts on the uni's and vvd's, bearings blew apart at the Knuckle's and outside edge of the axles and broke a rear axle shaft.. And Not once have I had a gear skip, pop, or the mesh loosen up!

What brand of ring and pinion are you using? Brand of bearings? Any other changes like still running a bushing anywheres? I dont count front axle failures as weak spots especially when it fails at the cross pin because all it takes is over tightening the axle nut one time to compromise the axle. Anywho im not running as much power as you are but are continuing to have problems and its not from binding up.

I'm running axial hd gears with stock ratio now. I ruined a handful of gears before switching to the modded axles. I tried bearings and bushings before. And that was just with a 13.5t redline on 3s.
I'm running fasteddie bearings thru out.
I don't consider anything a weak spot, not when I'm behind the wheel!
I just like destroying shiz and this is my rig for just that.

Got my VP vvd V2 (5mm) stub shafts today. Can't wait to get my new rotor so I can put them thru there paces!
Next will prolly be some lockedup rc OT shafts for the rear, once they come out. I should be pretty solid then.

Upgraded rotor for the redline?
Where did you get it?

No, I had to get a new rotor for my Pro4 4000kv. 2 of the magnets started to pull from the center shaft.

Sounds like you need some DLux axle shafts and knuckles.

Get a hold of Creeperbob he did up a set of titanium rears for me at the same time i started this axle madness. Curious on your gearing/slipper clutch assembly ??? I dont mind destroying stuff from driving like an idiot its the breaking crap when im not.

I have just a few SCX/AX10 housings with the 13mm bearing in stock now. I would be willing to do more if these go well. If they dont,... get them while they last... LOL

Can you hold on to 2 scx10' cases for a couple days? Was gonna buy some at a local hobby shop but yours after the mod are $10 cheaper

*Oops. The way it was worded I assumed it was two cases for $20. I'll have to dig a little deeper in my pockets for the next parts order.
