very interesting! are the SCX2 shafts allowing all the steering angle the knuckles are designed for?
what's roughly the max steering angle you achieved?

thanks

My setup is physically limited to about 50 degrees (the nuts holding on the tierod serve as steering stops) which is plenty for my use. I will need to check what the maximum possible angle is before binding.

Edit: Everything works up to 60 degrees then the knuckles hit the c hubs.

I can. I usually push people to 7075 though. Its so much stronger and not that much heavier.

So what exactly do I need in order to run these on my SCX10 ii ar44 axles? I have looked around some but for the money spent I figured I would ask directly. Thanks.

Sorry, I wont be getting on here much anymore. Its much better to get ahold of me thru email at dluxfab@gmail.com or thru facebook.

To run the knuckles on AR44, you want to get the knuckles for Wraith/XR, the chubs for AX10 and then single sided arms. The material choice is up to you but those are the basics. Be aware also, on the AR44, you need to do some grinding on the arm to get away from the panhard.

Necroposting...but this seems to be the only thread I'm finding on these knuckles so far. Does anybody have these on scx10ii/ar44 axles that can tell me (and even better, show me) what kind of steering angle you're getting with them? And what did you do, if anything, to improve the steering angle? It *looks* to me like the limiting factor will be the rodends hitting the c-hub, is that the case?

Really needing some real knuckle weight for a scaler that will allow for at least 55 degrees of steering, preferably 60 degrees. Most options out there are just not heavy enough, or they limit the steering too much even with some grinding.

Granted I have a couple sets of these on AR60 axles, but the knuckles themselves are very similar. They'll allow more steering than any normal axle shaft will allow. They have threaded holes so you can install a bolt with whatever size spacer you need to act as proper steering stops. Without any stops they'll go about 60* before the knuckle contacts the c-hub, the exact angle varies slightly between c-hub brands.

Thank you. I will modify u-joints if needed, I'm just wanting to make sure the knuckle doesn't end up limiting the throw. Sounds like they'll probably have enough to not be a problem. I recently bought a cheap set that I thought might work (and weight similar to Dlux full brass config) but I'd have to cut more out of them than I'd like to get the steering angle back. Should have just went straight to the Dlux stuff.

Yup. Buying Dlux stuff fits into the buy once, cry once category.

When I first found out about the 8mm stubs and matching knuckles I thought they were pricey. Then after breaking several sets of axial universals and wearing out the kingpin bores on multiple sets of knuckles, I've realized I would have saved money in the long run by going straight to the Dlux knuckles and shafts.
