No thank you Erik! .. .. these knuckles are a great ideas and good value. I got excited when I saw your "brass knuckles" for the first time I knew I needed a pair for a brand new 2.2 scale build.

Adding Bully V2 knuckles to the mix!

Specifically for the B2:

  • This fixes the short steering arm issue. With the longer steering arms you will have A LOT more steering power and less stressed steering components.
  • Adds the ability to add much more knuckle weight including the loaded dice knuckle weights. Loaded Dice Knuckle weight add ons
  • Better/bigger bearings than stock. (2-8x16)
  • The knuckles have the ability to convert from 8* to non 8* just by moving the screw holes in the arm.
  • This is a knuckle and a knuckle weight all in one. Much more manageable design to deal with rather than multiple separate pieces.
  • Bearings for king pins.... super smooth, no slop!
  • Ultra-light all the way to decently heavy by using Delrin, 7075 or Brass.
  • Due to the design, these have an extreme amount of strength at the arm. No more bent or broken arms.
  • Perfect steering arm geometry using zero ackerman.
  • Built in steering stop holes on the back side! Now you can protect your setup with an easy to set and use setup.
  • Optional slug holes to adjust your weight even more

Bully2

Looks like both the above could happen, I just need interest.

Is there any other cars that could use these? Maybe there are some older axles where parts are not available anymore?
I still have my Losi i want to make a 2.2s out off. Can you make these for the losi yet?

Whats the best bearing set up for a Berg? 16mm front and rear? 16mm front and 22mm rear? Running OFNA shafts

I could make a set and would..... nobody has cared about the LCC though. I have a LCC stub shaft here. I will take a look today and see what I can figure out. If its easy enough, I will let you know and I can pop some out.

For a 2.2, 16mm bearings is overkill. 16mm may even be overkill for supers and go fast cars but peace of mind on the supers and go fast means a lot too. I have never heard of anybody blowing a 16mm bearing. To put it in perspective, RC4wd used 12mm bearings for the Bully and not a ton of people had issues with those,... except me.

I did some checking and the LCC version would be easy enough to make. The only hurdle, which would be small, would be to figure out how to attach the knuckle arms to the c hub. It looks like it could be simply achieved by running a 4mm bolt through the arm and hub with a nut on top.

I wont be planning on putting these on my website unless there is some demand. I would be happy to make a one off set for somebody though.

On the Yeti knuckles and OFNA stubs, can you run an open front diff still or do you have to run a locker?

An open diff option should be here within 2 weeks.

DLux, any hint on price of the open diff separately if I buy the spool set up now? Not sure if I can wait

Erik,
About to place an order for OFNA axles, aluminum hubs for Yeti. Any idea on how much weight is saved on the knuckle when you drill the slug holes? Trying to keep it as light as possible. Trying to decide if it is worth the $20 to have slug holes drilled to save weight up front.

Good question!

Looks like the slug holes save 7g per knuckle. I dont have a narrow one to check, but math says a non slug narrow 7075 OFNA knuckle is 27g, slug narrow 7075 20g.

Yeah, I have stainless 0 offset. You can go to dluxfab.com/products --> axles/axle shafts ---> Ofna hubs

Shows a picture of the delrin but 0 offset is an option when you buy.

Hey Erik - about to pull the trigger on a set for my bully2, just curious how many .100 rings will fit if I'm running your beadlocks?? Thanks

Realize you need to know the hub width .720 with a 1/16 spacer

Hey,

FYI, RC4wd is out of stock on shafts so that pretty much means I am also, until they get some more.

With a .720 hub and 1/16 spacer on an Axial style stub shaft, you should be able to fit 5/6 .100 rings.

Let me know if you have more questions.
