Don't mind the mud! I brought some Utah mud home with me from southwest scale championship! Landed 5th in class 2 (started 3rd but dnf the final) and 5th in the 1.9 king of peaks.

There's not much motor to hide. Run a black motor and you'll be fine!

This may have been asked and i missed it....but do you have any plans on making a forward motor mount aimed more at scalers? With motor tucked up neatly tucked up under the hood? Having the motor visible, hanging below the chassis w the links n driveshafts kills the looks for me. Low cg is great, but performance isnt really the point of scalers.

Something similar to gcm's full transmission forward mount, but maybe just the motor n spur, so the shock hoops do not have to be swapped, which again kills the looks for me....haha. Maybe have the motor on the front side of the mount, for potential firewall/interior clearance issues? But still w enough room for the cms frequently mounted one side or another.

Looks like brackets could easily be made to raise it up a lil, but im not sure i have the tools for cutting off the thick ears that key into chassis......but then again cutoff wheels arent expensive lol. Cause seeing the brackets outside of the chassis rails wouldnt look quite right either......im not picky when it comes to a scalers appearance, am i?

I dont kno, im just thinking out loud, this has got my gears spinning. Also really like hotwheels' sideways trans mount, that i can do, drill holes in plastic....haha

Thanx! I wish I would have made it to that comp! Cwrcrc has a comp in the Spokane area in June! We'll have to meet up and finally put faces to names!

Great looking little mount you made, I enjoyed checking them out in Utah. May have to give it a shot for my newly inspired Class 1 or Class 2 Unimog build. Those events always make me want to build something!

I'm guessing if I want to I could use a t-case on the skid instead of the stock trans with this? Also any fitment issues with this and curries running 3 link panhard?

Pretty sure I've got one on curries here in town. I'll get back to you on that in the day light hours! And no. A standard tcase is 1:1 gear ratio. The stock trans without the pinion and spur is 2.28:1. You would lose quite a bit of reduction. Maybe an rc4wd case but I'm not sure how much reduction they have. I'm sure you could adjust ratio with your pinion and spur quite a bit but my goal was to keep it simple and use the proven ratio without having to think lol! Also JC auto designs is working on a tcase using the stock gears that's gonna be perfect behind it! If his doesn't hit the market I'll be making my own!

Hmm okay, I probably won't be able to use it but I will have to wait for my interior to arrive.

What's your deadline on your build? Soon I will be offering a tcase to go with it! I'm hoping to have a prototype in the hands of my tester next week!

I don't really have a deadline. Just adding to it as I have the funds. I hope to have it running soon but no rush.

Lol. Their never done! I keep saying I'm gonna stop building and be happy with the rigs I have but, then I find another cool body or another way to get better performance so I start another build!

Nothing yet. A good buddy of mine found my idea already in production so I kinda dropped the idea. Can't remember the web site but I'll find it and post a link.
