McMaster-Carr order number 97414a620.
This is the clip used for the bushing.

One more note;
When you assemble these with the clips, you'll notice one face of the clip has sharp corners and the other side is smooth and rolled over. This happens during the coining process.
Assemble the sharp faces towards the center of the u-joint. This will help prevent the clip from working itself out.

I'm assembling my own right now. The fit is so good the joint ears are just barely rubbing one one ear.

Great to see you back.Thanks for making these. I hated turning down repeated requests for my non-CNC versions...too much work for the money.

I'll grab some 510 phosphor bronze to play with. At 80K psi it's much tougher than the 50K psi N/Al bronze I used.

Cheers,

J

Does anyone have a how-to tutorial on replacing these bushings, its not rocket science I know but I feel like I'm beating up the bushings and axle parts getting the first axle rebuilt, it's also super stiff to move the joint...
Thanks!

It's a tough job. Work on a nice clean bright colored towel. I use a couple of fine tipped micro screw drivers to start the clip off and cover it with the towel or rag so it doesn't go flying.
To reinstall the clips, get it started and cover it again. Just incase the clip comes off. I actually cut a flat shim to fit the profile of the clip to help push it.
