Default **AX10/SCX10 Housing Splined Burly Tubes**

No axle is complete without our Burly Splined tube set. Our Burly tubes have several benefits that you just simply can’t be without.

The plastic housings are not known to be the strongest on the market, add a good steering servo and a little bit of time, you’ll quickly find yourself snapping housings left and right. No longer will this be an issue, no mods needed our tubes are brass for weight or 7075 Aluminum and slide in between the case halves making them the strongest and only no mod needed tube on the market!

Our tubes extend your stock axle to accommodate stock XR10 Axial Universals which are known for up to 70* of steering when modded. Splined for easy C-hub clocking our tubes are meant for Vanquish splined C Hubs. (Other brands can be used, but fitment may vary)

Each tube features alignment holes allowing you to lock in your tubes for a perfect fit ensuring your alignment is spot on. A locking collar slides over the burly tube with a tight fit on your axle housing. Two button head screws hold this piece in place. We've added a bearing pocket for those running in the mud and increased the tube thickness for strength.

It is recommended to drill and tap 1 hole into the inside of the housing locking your tube tightly against the center. Install instructions can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSaT4C9KgOE

Important Installation and product notes

*These tubes are meant for XR10 Universals or CVD’s which will need to be slightly modified
*This will make your overall width equal to an XR10 which is 10.20″ (stock width tubes available)
*If wanting equal track width, a set of burly tubes in back is required along with wraith lockouts and XR10 rear long shafts
*If you are using these for a sporty with a flat faced wheel, you can easily flip the wheel for equal track width
*We offer a stock width burly tube. This allows the user to retain stock width. Modifying the stock housing is required!!

Cost is $34.00 which includes 2 Burly Tubes and 2 collars.

So they use the XR10 chubs and knuckles from VP? The XR10 and the Wraith both use the same chubs and knuckles right? What about the rear axle? Currently there is little offered for rear axle shafts in the correct length. I believe people have been using wheely king shafts and straight axle adapters. Do you have plans to offer XR width axle shafts?

Yes, XR10 or Wraith C-Hubs and appropriate knuckles.

I am working on getting the parts accumulated for the proper rear setup. I don't want to put my foot in my mouth and want to verify fitment first

With these burly tube do you have to drill and tap the hole near the pumpkin or are those locking screws not needed with these tubes?

Sorry if this question has been answered, I just have no access to a quality drill press or tap.

Jackson,
A drill and tap will be required for installation. The tubes need drilled and tapped near the pumpkin, as well as the C hubs and collar.

I will be making a how-to on the process this week as well as making some pre-fabbed sets for guys like yourself.

I can say though, its rather easy to do. I did mine last night with a cheesy drill, drill bit and tap. The 7075 cuts nicely.

Tossed these on super quick before the comp yesterday. The nice part about 7075 is its easy to drill with a hand drill and no special tools. I drilled, tapped and installed the tube start to finish in about 25 minutes. As soon as I get some axle halves in the mail, I will begin a how-to for all of you. It is recommended to drill and tap the collar on due to the plastic housing threads being so soft.

Wraith long side rear XR shafts are the same as the fronts in length. Use Wraith lockouts.

I understand this widens the length of the front to equal the width of a XR10 axle, confused though on the rear.

If I get the right,,,you use the Wraith long side axle shaft, x2 for each side, and run the wraith lockouts? This will widen the rear to match the front, correct?

Sorry for the stupid question!!

Hope to have a perfect rear axle answer for you all this week. Sorry for the delay, I want to ensure proper locker engagement. Those who are running sportys with a flat faced wheel, you can flip the wheel to achieve equal width, save some money and some weight!

Guys, if you are wanting pre-assembled units just PM me, we can make it happened. Indexed, splined, 7075 and secured in the stress areas of your axle, these can't be beat!
