Hey, was thinking about cutting a few stickers for this. Do we have a name for this event/outing? Was thinking something like NorCal RC Crawlers, NorCal RC Rock Crawlers, NorCal RCRC, NorCal R2C2, or something along those lines?

What do you guys think about setting up a site with group outings?

I may cut a few extras, but whoever gets those will have to weed them out themselves. It just takes me too long.

It looks like I will be able to make it this weekend. And I think three other guys will be comming down with me.

I think someone already asked this, but I can't see it. Does the resort know what's going on?
How many people are expected. Since the event is THIS weekend, how about a head count?
I will try to be there with my (mostly) stock TXT-1. I'm only about 25 miles away as the crow flies, but 30-50 depending on which route I take to get there. If someone knows a shortcut from Morgan Hill or Gilroy (I heard Watsonville Rd. or 152), please let me know.

Jeckler, I work in MoHill. I crawl at Paradise park during lunch sometimes you should come out. I went there today but within 5 minutes I busted a susp.link. Well pulled the threads out of the ball end.

It will take you 45 minutes to go over 152. It's pretty easy.

Take Watsonville rd. to 152 west. up and over Hecker Pass. After you drop in to Watsonville make your second right. I believe it's Airport Blvd. to Hwy.1 north to Larkin Valley road west.

It's not a bad way to go.

Well, in about 2 weeks we're moving up to San Jose, but it'd be cool to check out Paradise before then. We live across Monterey Hwy off of Church, so it's less than 5 minutes away. I work in So. San Jose. Maybe some day this week after work I'll check it out. I need to fix the stock rear steer lockout on my TXT before then though. Maybe links too. Any good local places to get parts? I checked out Hobby World in Gilroy already.

well when you get your truck running let me know. There's Edenvale garden park in So. SJ I crawl there mostly. Are gonna be runnig for the comp?

Cool. Edenvale's kinda close to where I work. It's also near where we're moving. I should have my truck back up this week. It won't be anything special on the rocks though.
We checked out Paradise a little while ago. Saw tire tracks in the sand. Don't the little kids bug you while you're running?

talk to sky jacker we will not be doing the run next to the resort. we will doing the run next to the sea wall. i think there is going to be twoor three stages. i cant rember how many we did.

Hey guys i broke my truck when i went down there with 1beatjeep but got it fix. It was a minor thing. When i went down on sunday had a glick problem that through my cralwer in a hole and i had a bad bind up. I will work on getting it fixed by sunday but its not looking good.

Its ok it would be nice if we had a dedicated points keeper anyway. Hope to see all you guys there.

If anyone reads this before leaving, how about putting up a sign close to where we'll be running, that way we're not spread out all over the resort. Skyjacker?
I'll be picking up a couple dozen tennis balls on the way (gratis).
I think at this point is every person for themselves as far as food and beverage are concerned.
(EDIT: Food anyway, I just saw 86ss1's post in the check-in thread)
I'm bringing a digi-cam and an analog VHS-C camcorder.
My wife, kids and I will be there around 11-11:30.

if your out of the front of the resort go left. then go past the first stop with the train tresal on your right. when you get to the next stop you will see a golf corse, turn left into the street and head in near the beach the farther you go the closer you will be i hope you guys see this before tomorrow. for some reason i though it was sunday so good call.
