See you tonight!

Doug, if you still have that screw you found on Flatty's Hard Luck please bring it. Looks like it came out of my rear axle.

Well yestarday was ROUGH for me... I started by rebuilding the entire car and put it back on the old chassis. I had to cotch the hell out of the old chassis to get the stuff to fit (Running a narrow skid). I finished with about 5 minutes to spare, and took it to Soutch city. I get there, and the wiring broke off. So, I solder the wires back on, and get ready to wheel. I take it out and let me older brother tool around with it. He is having a great time, and then rolls it off Hard Luck Rock. Low and behold the frame cracked in half!!! So now today is goignt o be spent either building a tube chassis, and making some scab plates to hold the chassis together until I CAN build the new chassis.

So guys, what do you say going out to the Waterfall in San Carlos next Wed night? That place is TONS of fun.

Arguello Park, San Carlos.
5pm or so at the jungle gym.
Take San Carlos Ave from the El Camino Real until you pass Alemeda De Las Pulgas, make the next right on Phelps and follow it till the end.
I'll be there.

Yea, I finished it about 2 hours ago. Only took me about 30 minutes to plate it. Now I have a 1/4" plate on that side. Now I gotta figure out the shocks. Funny thing is now all the bodies fit on there. Gonna run the Bug body for a while.

Pics are in this thread.

Yea, Daniel's a great guy, he laughs at us rookies.
We'll be there Wed night, it should be nice and dangerous with a bunch of guys on the waterfall. It's pretty steep.

This Wednesday night's crawl is relocating.
Arguello Park, San Carlos
Here's the park's link;http://www.cityofsancarlos.org/gov/d...uello_park.asp

The arrow shows where we crawl, the arrow's tail end is where we park on Phelps Ave.
Wellington Ave parking is across the park.
Be there from 5pm till 7:30 or so.

We were down 2 regulars and still had a pretty big turn out tonight.
Good meeting Gary from Hayward, didn't catch his screen name.
Bent70 suffered another broken spindle, trail fixed.
Darrin had no issues, other than chasing Owen around, lol.
Dpdsurf had the catastrophic failure tonight with shock and endlink failure that made it look like chrome spaghetti. He's giving Flatty a run for his money, haha.
Good night, just a bit chilly.

Yesterday was fun and good to see a couple new faces. I ended up a broken rear stub on the tlt's, stripped servo horn and a slowly dying steering servo. I think stainless straight axles are the next hopup and maybe another towerpro servo w/ more voltage.
Thanks, dpdsurf for saving my day with the hex pin.

Sorry our plans got changed at the last minute. Daniel has the eye for sick lines and he knows all the great ones on the waterfall.

We'll be there this coming Wednesday night, no last minute changes, rain or shine, drought or flood.
