There is talks of having Central Valley Rock Crawlers joining Nor-Cal. Some think we are close enough to all the Nor-Cal comps not to be a club on our own. This means we might not get recognized on our own.
They would like to have a few sub-divisions all having comps under Nor-Cal rules and having the top 4/5 drivers from each division complete for the 2 invites that are given to Nor-Cal. I think this will hurt CVRC's members in the long run. What do you as members want to do. I've talked to a few of you about this already but We need to hear from everybody on this.

my only issue is...we're not holding any comps...when will that start again...? I'm partial to staying seperate but....where are the comps...? If we're trying to be something-shouldn't we do something...?

Im partial for being seperate too. MM there were 3 comps at folsom lake,3 comps at the bean state beach and 1 in monteray. ALL are great comp sites. But there are some great comp sites comming up that are alot closer then the bean for us(central vally). Those 7 comps were the NOR-CAL winter series.

well the reason i am affiliated with cvrc is because its local. and do not want to travel to Folsom or Monterey for every comp or get together but as m&m said it is hard to know what the difference is between the two, because we have only had one comp of our own. i think what your really getting at is, if we are really committed enough to join a RC club why not just join forces with a established club like nor-cal so we dont have to go through the trouble of being recognized as a club when we can just drive a hour and a half away and be in a sanctioned comp. well i think it is really up to you Steve, to me you have done most for this club to even exists, but i dont want you to lose sight of the reason why you wanted to start the club in the first place, getting local guys together to find some areas in cen cal to crawl. maybe we use cen val as a get together club and run all comps through nor-cal just like you stated. i really dont know enough about nor cal or the process of being a recognized club to make a decision. what would be ideal for me is we have some local get togethers and some nor-cal comps around here.

would any one be up for gtg at knights fairy this weekend? Ive never looked there for a place to crawl but Ive heard others say there are places there.Knights fairy is off of HWY 108 going to sonora its closer to oakdale.Post up and let me know.

i have been work day till late even on the weekends. and i think that will include this weekend as well. i have been working up in Del Puerto canon thought. I'm hoping to do some recon up there for some spots. i will post up pic of what i find.

I might be able to go if it is early.
