how do you not drill straght with a drill press? as long as you mount it correctly the press only goes up and down. ill let you know thx for the offer im actually looking at the ti links that are made on here but at just under 100 bucks i dont think they are worth it

i wonder is .375 alum rod could be run through a die and put some 4mm threads on it ohhh nathan ur the expert in this crap chime in will yea i need hellllllp lol

looks like .250 in alum rod = 6.35 millimeters which might work better since .375 is over 9 mm

im useing 1/4 inch atm as it is. its breaking right at my bend point where ive heated up the delrin to bend it so its makeing a weak point. i was actually just doing stoppies with my truck yesterday went from my grass to the cement hit reverse and broke a front link dual 35 turn motors on 3s is crazy power and with the weak link in the delrin where i bend them im not sure if they will even last a comp at this point. more testing needs to be done i guess. but this is good to knwo now before our new series starts up

Any up for some crawling a kohls tonght? Oh and on the links. I might be able to get some free time to make up some. But I don't have a 4mm tap or tap drill. For the alum the 4mm is fine but it is a finer thread so I would go with 8-32 or even 10-32 if you run delrin. I would say to use the 3/8" delrin I thought I read that you were using 1/4". And if you are bracking the delrin at your bend try a lower and slower heat when you bend them. If you come out tonight I can take a better look to see what you are talking about.

i had a meeting untill 7 then came home im going out friday if u wanna come out brad nsr_accord/what ever the **** name he uses now is coming up from santa rosa and bringing his berg. im not having a problem with the tap at 4 mill im useing a 70 pich tooth and its actually holding really well. im only useing a lighter to warm up the derlrin and bending gradually. i figured running a 1/4 inch delrin rod would be fine but with how much this pig weighs it just isnt cutting it i guess it does fine when crawling but im afraid if i happen to fall on a sidehill i may snap a link again.

Just askings, thanks

We're going to do both Saturday and Sunday comps. The 1st comp will be at Spicers. I need to set up the list comps and dates.
