Nice pics, looks like fun!

You ever taken your 1:1 to the real Hammers in Johnson Valley? Was there a few months ago, they've got some gnarly ****!

Great pics! I can't wait to get my scale project rolling. :)

That's some nasty trail rash on the Excursion

The excursion body was crushed in shipping. scalers are a ton of fun.
Haven't been to the Hammers yet, my club has gone a few times but I'im not driving my junk 450 miles when the rubicon is only 200 miles away.

It is much much better then crawling over dead hookers and mobsters.

The rubicon can't be compared with the Hammers.

Yeah but climbing over live hookers is much better. We got rid of the mobsters when Vegas went corporate. We have bricks of blow to climb over as well.

Sure it can. They both have rocks that are fun to drive over. See I told you that you can comare the two.

JV is desert rock and fun with loose water fall climbs, sandy washes, and and big boulders galore..
Rubicon is a mountainous forest trail with smooth fire roads, vicious rock twists, and full traction granite slabs.

They are different in many ways, but you can get your kicks just the same at either. Rckjeep just can't say he has been hammered yet. Personally, I will take the Con any day over JV.

As for the pics, thanks guys. I wish I could have been there to crawl with you, however I was doing the 1:1 thing on the trail. See you at the next gathering.

Rckjeep- not that I don't love the Rubicon, and do it at least once year no matter what. But you owe it to yourself to go to the Hammers- I've done Jack Hammer, Slegde Hammer, Sun Bonnett, Big Johnson, Back Door, etc, numerous times in the 4Runner, and they all have made obstacles like the Soup Bowl and Little Sluice seem like the only challenges up there now.....check out the Hammers- it will change your outlook on crawling obstacles, and how many can be on just one short trail!

BTW -we are trying to hit the Dusy on Aug. 26- if snow melt permits- can you make it?....never done that one before- heard its great scenery the whole way...kinda like the Rubicon.
Then we'll hit the Hammers once it cools down in mid Oct. or so!

A club I'm in is hitting up Dusy that same weekend, still undecided whether or not I'll be joining them. Heard nothing but good things about it, sounds like it takes 3 solid days of wheeling to get through it.

Joe Muama- I heard it gets real boring at the end, and especially the road out, so were turning around and coming out the same way we came in- that way we do the best part of it 2x.
