| Re: Vacaville, Fairfield crawling I live across the street from that park LOL! I have not seen any scaler sized trails. Where are you talking about exactly? I just hiked Rockville Park in Fairfield at lucnh. I had never been there. There are some very cool places there but they are right in the middle of a main hiking trail and a bunch of people wlaking through.... |

There's a line of pretty big rocks along the side of the road I've run my rigs on a loooong time ago. Maybe they're gone now Rockville has "miles" of trail riding for our rigs. What size or vehicle you running ? Want to meet up sometime PM me your number , I am gonna glo with my son again soon. I've been running 1:6 scalers there Last edited by Gula; 05-08-2014 at 03:55 PM. |

I went to the Newcastle scale adventure event last weekend and it was awesome. That little piece of property was perfect for 1.9 scale trails. Im wondering if someone in the Vacaville/Fairfield area might have similar property or know of a place. Funny how hard it is to find the perfect pile of rocks.....

I went to the place near the bottom of the Berryessa dam. A little big for a 1.9 rig but anything bigger will love that area. |

I also went to a place right off the freeway near Lagoon Valley. I fly my FPV planes out of Lagoon Valley and have know about this field for a long time. This is also the field where I filmed my micro D90. http://youtu.be/BeKpaHw34h0 http://youtu.be/2ldWoqSMkKI Last edited by Shape_Shifter; 05-17-2014 at 11:01 PM. |

I live a couple minutes from Rockville park. How do you go about crawling in that park. Is the location a good distance from parking? Do you carry or drive your crawler to the spot. I'm wondering because I've never been to the park and have no idea where everyone crawls at. Was also wondering because my rig is pretty heavy.

You can buy a pass to get in or just walk in without paying. I've never been checked although I have a 6 month pass. As far as distance from parking to crawling area, that varies but you can drive it from where you park all the way till you get to a spot you like. As long as I've lived here I haven't seennn another "crawler" while I was there. It's more or a scale/ trail run BTW.

Did that park in Dixon ever turn out. May make it out to Rockville or Dixon when I get back home.
