Thats how I mounted my rear bumper. The proline winch is non functional so you can just glue it in place.

On another subject I found a great place in Berkeley for scale and comp crawling. Its called Indian Rock Park also check out a place called Danna Rock Park that is in San Jose. Just a few spots to coinsider.

EDIT**

Here are some shots I took today. Check out the rear bumper...looks sweet! lets get together this weekend!

My build so far:

SCX10 kit
Novak Rooster Crwaler ESC
Novak 45T Motor
20T pinion
Weighted Tires
Battery moved up front
Proline front and rear bumpers
Proline Chevy CGR
Stock front links
Streched rear links upper 84mm lower 118

I dig it, only thing I'd do is raise the front bumper up to just underneath the grill. The wavy section on the body under the grill is a bumper, cut that off move the proline bumper up and greatly increase your approach angle.

That's exactly what i was thinking. It has two bumpers, one on top of the other. Might as well dremmel/cut/burn/maim the molded lexan bumper off and relocate the new improved bumper in it's place. I am digging the black! It will show all the dirt..LOL Do you carry beer in that keg or is it B.Y.O.B.?

I'm up in the North Bay, but it would definetly be worth the drive....
I may not be fully "accessorized" but I grind the crap out of them, it's the only way to fly!

Some of the pm's are from people well outside the South Bay(San Jose area). Heck one guys area code says Pennsylvennia. Just so you all know the idea is to make a local club so it's not so difficult to make a run. Don't get me wrong, you guys from outside the Bay are more than welcome to participate. Heck I hope Mad4rnr makes every run, his rigs are sick. Maybe some different chapters are in order. How's the "Scale Crawler Association" sound. It'll be the title group for the different chapters.

Please when PM'ing me include your phone #, email and location
Dave, We definitely have allot of interest in scalers here in the North-bay so maybe we should consider a "North Bay RC Scalers" chapter?

We could mirror what's going on in the comp world and have a "Nor-Cal RC Scalers" club with different chapters per region (South-Bay, North-Bay, East-Bay, Sac, etc...)

The first NBRCC scale comp and GTG is this weekend and depending on the turn out and the feedback we get we are considering hosting a couple more through out the summer (maybe not though especially if there are some other comps going on in the area).

Anyway, glad this is coming together .

Berkeley has a sick spot. Its Called Indian Rock Park and could be a half way point for a meet and greet. Just an idea. I can make it Saturday but will probably show up around 11am or 12 noon. My step daughter is having a sleep over for her birthday Friday night and all the kids wont be gone until 10am ish. After that I am free.

Hitting up Almaden Park(Camden/Meridian) today(wed) at about 3:30...I know that the 4ws is not allowed in comp but I just have to go test this out. Also, driving with this high center of gravity has been a challenge but lots of fun. Maybe Thursday at school my instructor will cut my CNC frames for me. He has the designs on his comp (MasterCam) now and looked interested with a "wtf"? Look on his face. Curiosity has piqued his interest....Wish me luck.

Not too many WK'ers I have noticed...Doesn't everyone like pain and suffering as much as I?

Had to call it a day after I accidentally used the wrong servo saver. Must have snapped a Futaba insert in by mistake...It stripped out 10 minutes into wheeling....Going to go test everything near home.

If we can't get a list going can we get a count of how many are going to show up? I would hate to drive all the way out there and find that I am the only on who showed up.

I actually fixed my rig last night and drove out to Danna with the kid. We spent 1.5 hours driving all the trails and rocks. It's not a huge area but many different lines to be had. If you don't mind walking through tall grass, there is even more stuff to get to. One thing that really, really pisses me off about Danna though is that you are driving on broken glass almost the entire time. The kids must really like to party up there at night....I was planning on meeting up Saturday, but I need to know what time so I can clear it with the woman. Honey-do's are a plenty....

I hear ya on that. I am not trying to hijack this thread and I think having a local scale get together is a grand idea but the lack of info has me a bit concerned. If the GTG evaporates how about heading over to Indian Rock Park? You can see pictures of the park and even a short video I took last weekend. Fremont Union City Crawlers

I just want to go out and have some fun, make some friends, check out everyones cool RC's, make some videos, and share my hobby with otherlike minded people.

I do not care where we meet or how many show up I just want to have some fun.

Anyone interested PM me and I'll give you my cell phone number. If needed we can Car Pool my truck is a 8 passenger.
