| Lake Kaweah Park
"Kaweah Recreation Area" lat=36.3946873, lon=-118.9870666 Heres the coordinates for google earth or gps, etc. 198 East, past 99 & Visalia. Can't miss it. Look for huge boat ramp and parking lot. Depending on water level, we can look around there for what to crawl. Then and Or we will go east about 5 miles to slick rock. And there's a couple good places to eat and some stores just past this point. What time you thinking? I'm prob gonna leave head out @ 9am. It's about an hour drive. But that's me being early. |

| Kaweah
The Lake's quite full and any rocks used for erosion control seem to be of the same size = lots of holes between, therefore not very good. Seem like everything up in Three Rivers is private property. Come late summer / fall Kaweah will be lower and yes there are a few good spots off ramp#2, Slick Rock usually has a lot of people. Either way it's $4 for day use. I was up 180 last weekend and Stoney Creeks sure looked good, could camp, kids and wife could enjoy the creek etc, and some good crawling. If I'm right it's between the parks so crawl'n should be ok? Bass Lake's full also, most of Rocky Point is under water. Guess that leaves Dinky Creek and Rock Creek Roads and Bald Mountain in the Shaver area. Seems like I my "crawl'n season's" from Fall to Spring, Summer I can be found sailing R/C Yachts with the SMYC (Sierra Model Yacht Club) at PLaza Park in Visalia off 198 on Sundays. -Hoss Last edited by HOSS; 06-15-2010 at 07:57 AM. |

| Nice. Good to here more peeps in the area. Would be nice to have camping weekend to Crawl. Won't feel under the gun to drive far and be able to relax with some refreshment in the evening. Plus those night crawls will be much better Welcome to the Area R4L! Break out google earth or a map. Pretty much everything good is east & northeast of us. Anything up the 41, 168 and 180 will lead you to rocks. Last edited by Skin Krawler; 06-17-2010 at 12:07 AM. |

When the lake is low, there are some great spots, so I've heard. There may or may not be a group in fresno, if there is, its a very closed group from people at Trail Gear or Marlin crawlers. I don't understand why those of us here have such a hard time getting together, I know I'm not the only one whose tried. Drunk | |

Whats up guys. I am also in Visalia. Not new to the area (born and raised) but relatively new to RCC. I have been to the Kaweah area also. I like the area near Horse Creek Campgroud. Its good to see there are some of us in the area. Our LHS does not really cater to crawlers, maybe if we get some more in there it might change. Maybe Ill see some of you at the lake one of these days.
