Looks like we have a good amount of people coming from the area for the Nor-Cal comp tomorrow. I will be leaving Novato at like 5:50 but you all know me it could be 6 or later, but know 5:50 if you want to meet up. My buddy Greg (PEE-WEE) cant wait to run his new Fubar Skeeter Berg hope he does good. SEE YOU ALL DOWN THERE.

Hey guys, I got an e-mail from Jim at Mendocrawlers, here's scoop on the next event and their club.

The $5 entry fees will go toward comp expenses and used to buy prizes.

Anyone can join the Mendocrawler Club, but there are dues: If they are 15 or under, membership is $10/yr. If they are 16 or older, it is $20/yr.

Membership benefits include:
Club T-shirt
$5 off each MendoCrawlers hosted comp
Annual Club BBQ and awards
5% off coupon for RPP Hobbies
Stickers
More...

They can pay their dues in one of the following ways:

1-Mail a check, payable to "MendoCrawlers/Jim Logg" to:

MendoCrawlers
1360 N. Bush St.
Ukiah, CA 95482

2-Bring a check or cash to our next club meeting (tentatively set for Wed. evening, 4/22 at Round Table in Ukiah).

3-Pay via PayPal at www.join.mendocrawlers.com

Club members will help setup/cleanup comps, judge and generally help out with event planning plus getting the word out about the club and events. I know we did a poor job of scoring the last event, so going over rules and judging will be at the top of the agenda for our club meeting.

Hope this helps clear up some confusion, as we've been hearing a lot of questions about it at the shop .... Open for discussion, your thoughts??

So, I got a new toy when I got home from work today!

A slightly used Tamiya "Xtrail" CRV! Plus a a "brand new" never installed, in the wrapper body for it. So it has a beater body, plus a brand new show body that has yet to be unwrapped.

I'm geeking out big time now! Just need to JB weld the Diffs, and it's ready to "rok"..... WOO HOO! I'll get it running and bring it into work Thursday.

It was my dad's and he only used it to run around his Town House in Socal, well, it got found and brought back up, so Now It's Mine!

Oh, and just a friendly reminder that This Saturday is the HELI SKILLS CONTEST! 5PM Sharp!

Yeah, same chassis like the Pajero.

Independent Front Suspension. I thought it was called the xtrail, but I'm probably wrong.

My new rig drives pretty darn good I think. I think I need a bit more weight in the rear and my steering could use a little tweaking. Other than that I just need to break in the tires and learn to drive.

I'll bring it by the shop soon.
