I will most likely do the run.

I pulled a Burn-ey (Blue devil). My motor caught on fire at Vasona yesterday. Turned out to be the fresh oil from the bearings that ran down to the stature. Flames were a-plenty. I babied it and smoked the oil off until it was done and everything was fine...

Just curious on the batteries and ESC that you are using? I have had the same Integy 55t installed since i first built my rig(maybe 1.5 years) and it is still running fine. You would fry 99% of all the brushed motors on the market if you were putting 3cell lipos to them. Integy and Infinity crawler motors are 12v and would be safe to use.

Hey guys,

Not a Saturday GTG but a Sunday GTG but didn't want to post a new thread...

Where: China Grade near Big basin off of HWY 9
When: Sunday at 10 a.m. rain or shine
Who: Put on by the cool crew in boulder creek. (Bikeman)
What: Bad-ass trails and giant slick rock mountain faces (think scale Moab). Killer hook-ups when these rocks are slightly wet. Scale mostly shows up but its great for comp rig.

This one is a gem and location not to be posted here or re-posted as a cool place to go Rangers are totally cool about this place but has to be kept clean. Parking is off Big basin property but gtg is partially on property.

PM for directions if you can make it. It's worth the drive and car-pools could be possible.

CH

Thanks for keeping things in one thread. I'd like to crawl this weekend too, but I just tore my XJ apart for some needed TLC. I really want to check that place out, sometime.

Default China Grade rain-out??

Although i have wheeled up there a few times in the rain, that "rain or shine" comment that Bikeman sent to me might have been a bit hasty. Although those BC guys are rugged as he!!, I think the 3-4 inches of rain for the SC mountains on Sunday might close them down? We shall see. If it really is that bad when I wake up Sunday, I will pass on this as well...

Hey guys. Went to mini hammers last tuesday with one of the boulder creek wheelers... 2 trucks entered and zero trucks exited in one piece... Again. Bikeman wants his revenge and he will be back this sunday at 9 a.m. I was hoping we could get some more rigs out there this time. Show him and his crew how its done. Anyway....hope 2 see ya out there.

If you guys don't mind, noob here looking for some fellow crawler dudes to hang out with and crawl. Just bought an AX10 RTC, been dying ready to crawl. I have already broke a front driveshaft crawling at home.

We welcome anyone, but we are scale drivers for the most part.

Next weekend on Sunday there is a gtg up near Big Basin that is friendly to scale and comp rigs. PM me if you want directions. Its at 10 am...

Since you are Daly City, I think that you should hit the guys up that Crawl at Genentech in S. SF. they have a thread in the Cali section as well. Daylight savings kinda killed Crawling after work though I think.

Peace!
