| Nor-Cal Trail Ride in San Jose -- 30-Oct-2004 Who is up for a trail ride like the last one in San Jose on Saturday (30-Oct-2004)? Rckjeep is scouting out a possible new location and if that one does not pan out then we will just have it at the same location as last time. This will just be a get together trail run where we try to tow each other out with winches and chains. I think there might be alot more towing since alot of us have added bumpers and chains to the front of our trucks. |

Yup I hit up a new spot today. There are some sweet spots there but i think there's way to much broken glass. I don't want anyone having to go get a tetnis, tetnus, tet-something shot. it's literally everywhere. But maybe I'll try and clean it up a bit for a comp someday. It would be more like a real Rockcrawling comp. where you have obstacles instead of a course. I found some dusy's. I'll try and get some pics soon. You know I'll be there Badger. And this time I'll bring extra batteries and some tools. Oh and lunch. mmm processed peanut sweepings ooogggg... |

We are going to the same place as before. For those of you who didn't go last time. We met at Nob Hill parking lot on Bernal Rd. & Santa Teresa Blvd. in south San Jose. Then we carpool up to the park because there's a $5 parking fee since it's a county park. We will met at 9:30 and leave by 10am. here's directions to the meeting place. from anywhere north of San Jose: Take 101S to Bernal Rd. go west on Bernal to Santa Teresa Blvd. and go left. then make your first left into the parking lot. We'll met in the middle. This sound to everyone? |

You definitly want to bring a sandwich or something. I think we stayed until around 2:00 pm last time. You DO NOT want to miss it. By far the best crawling event so far. | |

I remember getting sunburned. So long enough. But ya bring a backpack with some food. There are bathrooms and a water fountain but that's it. Of and BBQ's in case you catch a snake or something. But it was a lot of fun last time. I won't miss it. here's some more pics to get you excited. See if YOU can see the winch line? This one's one of my favorite shots. I'll post up the night before. The only thing about the rain is that because it's climbing up and walking back down the hill. It could be a hassle. When it rains the mud gets slick as snot. So it may not be the best idea for that location.
