Meatwad and I went out to the mini hammers today. Nice spot to bash and crawl. I'd go back out there. I liked it. Broke a c hub on the walk back to the truck. Time for aluminum upgrades. I was thinking of just macihining them myself but it may just be easier to buy em. We'll see what happens. I'll start some dimensioning and see how much time it will take to machine them.

Next...we're gonna hit alum rock park. There's a trail that starts at the end of penetencia creek rd. At the parking lot entrance to the park. off to the right is where the trail is. I'll shoot some pics and video while we're up there.

Email me the pics. I can find the location and post the pics. Pm me for my email address. I'm trying to think of 237 and MCcarthy. Is it that jogging trail off to the right of 237 heading west?

Just read your WHOLE post. Ive seen that place many a times...never thought to go down there though.

We've both got the summit/dinky conversion. Both running scx10s. Different setups but same basic setup...

Postclanker... I had a comp but it got boring. Too slow for me. So I came back into the scene with the scx and summit tranny. I've got kind of a rock racer type setup

Slow is good sometimes....but the speed demon in me comes out every now and then...the wraiths looked good to me for that very reason....I also like the scale look...hell, if I had unlimited money I'd have one of everything...but it's hard to sell off all the other stuff I have ....don't really want to part with it. My next purchase will be a scaler I think....might just have to be real fast though ;-)

not to be an a-hole, but remember, this is a SF south bay crawl spots, not south bay chit chat thread.

made a course in my yard

hello, im new to rc crawling but over the past few days i built a course in my yard. so far I have just dug the area out and raked rocks out the way. i have about 20 mid to large sized rocks and a bed frame along with some other odds and ends to add to the course.

name: Empire

where: PM me via rc crawler forum.
I would like to invite people from the forum to come over and crawl. I'm hesitant inviting people over to my house so please be respectful.
Make sure to include your email address and phone number.

So does this mean you're invitingly sponsoring bay area crawlers onto your course?

You need to dig a few ditches and build a few mud-pits!

Re: SF south bay crawl spots

I usually crawl at Lexington Res.
Exit hwy 17s at bear creek road. Loop around and get right back on 17n. Stay in that lane when gettin on the hwy. As it will bring you right to the Lexington exit. Follow the road until you come to the first parking lot on the right side. Park there. The rocks are down by the new boat launch.
