Numerous reasons,No motorized vehicles on trails, holding an event without permit and enviromental impact being walking around off trails. I beleive those were the main reasons. The ranger was really cool about it and with the right permits and location we are welcome back so dont worry Parker and crew are working on it.

Even though it upset a few people I am thankful because of my unforeseen new job training on Saturday now I should be able to participate in the actual g6 folosm.

DRIVNMF 01-30-2011 02:37 PM

Yup, the shut down was a bummer and the begining of the end was a group of mountain bikers complained that we were on their trail. This led to the Rangers enlightening me on some of the Folsom Park rules. With this new found knowledge, we will be back real soon for some of the sickest G6 stages ever!

I am glad to hear that the skill sections challenge both driver and truck. These sections are designed for that purpose. I will easily trade a day of driving in a G6 to watch so many talented drivers and cool rigs enjoy a day of G-Adventure.

Thank you all, again, your help is always greatly appreciated.

I hope to see you guys at the "Love of Rock" G6 on Feb. 19 weather permitting.

I will post up the flier as soon as Spucknit completes it.

Hey guys, awesome time out there even with the shut down. Just to let anyone know, I put up the pics I took on the G6 Folsom thread. Here is the link to my album in its entirety.

Awesome! I am glad you came out and I am really glad you didn't mind me throwing you into being a stage buddy. There is no way to fully understand the G6 unless your part of it.

If mother nature keeps the pass clear, I hope to see everyone make it over for a little love of rock!

If could bottle up a 100 yard section of mud from folsom, I would drive wearing a fig leaf.

Cali has some great dirt!

Nice pics. I'm sure someone will drive a stage with a go pro camera on their scaler someday...hint, hint.

I'm ready to get my fix in another G6!

G6 at Folsom

Sure wanted to go spectate but I had a work related exam to take. Bummer about the Rangers but glad it will be worked out. Figured someone complained. Not sure what trail you were on, but there are lots of routes the mountain bikers could have taken as alternates. I ride too and have done trail work out there. Funny how when you are trimming branches and stomping everything else it does not matter (environmental impact?). As for non-motorized, I call B.S. That was written to keep motorcycles off the trails-poor interpretation by the Rangers.

Here's a classic...a friend's kid was running a toys-r-us rc boat on a non-motorized lake and the Ranger drove over in a two stroke outboard to stop him...promote that genius to outhouse scrubber.:lmao:

Hello guys! I wanted to introduce myself as I am new to the area. I participated in the events that rckjeep hosted for the South Bay Scale RC Club in San Jose and will definitely be wheeling it up in all the killer areas that are offered in the Sacramento area. I will be living in Folsom soon, but am in El Dorado Hills for now...

I tore my rig(cut the entire cage off!) apart to re-do just before moving so i have parts scattered in various bins and boxes. Since the rear wheel base has gone from stock FJ40 to stretched out Truggy, I need to find a MIP C-Drive Male Bone (long style) to replace my shorty... I got a part number (#08110) but some sites say it is discoed!!?? If i have to buy a new set I will, but if anyone might have one they want to trade for a shorty or know of a source to get one, that would be stellar!

See you soon on the rocks! Here's a link to one of our gtg's at Linda Vista park in Cupertino...I drive the In and Out Burger FJ...http://www.youtube.com/user/traxxass...44/S8AuSwibqik

Hey CruiserHead, did you get a chance to hit the partial G6 sat? There are a few of us who don't work full time so hit the lake during the week once and a while until we figure out how to set up a club to have regular scale events. But for the few who got to do some G6 wheeling Sat, they have already signed up for the next one in Sparks on the 16th "thumbsup"

CruiserHead 01-31-2011 05:13 PM

I really wanted to check it out. The guy at HT Folsom told me about it. I had kid duty with 3 munchkins playing B-Ball games at different times during the day Sat. Sucks that the rangers closed it down... Looks like a really nice spot to wheel for sure.... Hoping to have my rig going soon, it's driving me crazy!!!

Happy Wheeling

During the week or weekend? As far as a comp I'm trying to figure out how to get some kind of scale thing going so we can get a regular schedule but until then, someone just posts on when they want to go out and bam. During the week 3-5 guys weekends up to 18

I just picked up some RR tranny gears today even though I didn't need them. Thought I broke the output shaft and didn't even check drivelines  I wanted to start upgrading my running gear anyway. I need to see what happens with this new job schedule and I might be able to go out this week.
