G6 is not a typical comp. It's a lot more fun, you get to drive Depending on your schedule it's fri night sat night and sun along with 2.2 comps Cisco Grove isn't too far up the hill if you want to just come up for the day but if you want to spend the night I'm sure we could fit you into a camp spot If we don't see you up there hopefully we'll see you at a gtg once we find a place to play with the water level where it's at. Saw a couple spots in EDH on the south side of the freeway but looks like only a hour or so of playing.

BTW x2 on Johns post about Mike at gold country hobbies

Im definitely going to make an effort to appear. Staying the night with out wifey.. that wouldn't work too well haha so I will come out for the day and see what its all about for sure. Hopefully I will have a rig with me, Im sure there will be "play" time?

Good luck to all of the Sac. area guys going to the AWCC at Cisco. You wont be disapointed, I went last year and it was off the hook.

Also, if a few could pm me some contact numbers so I can text or call when I arrive and get to meet you that would be great!

Im not even participating in the comps beside being a sideline cheerleader and Im super pumped to get there and see what its all about.

Def coming up tomorrow to check this out. Won't be participating but will be watching. Hopefully I can get my Gelande D90 scaler up and running so I can bring it to test out on the side.

Saw a random post from years ago that said something about a primitive SC track at the campground also?? Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks, appreciate that. Had a wonderful time hanging out with people who have similar interest, and the whole event was awesome as hell. Looking forward to the future gatherings.

The G6 was the coolest RC event I've ever participated in. It would be great to do more events like the G6 in our area.

There should be a regular G6 in July around reno. It will depend on the recon comp schedule though. We have been trying to get something going here but we just don't have the ideas like Parker lol. We'll be getting together with the recon boys soon to go ever some stuff. We had a mini adventure last month which was pretty cool. We're just having a hard time finding locations with the lake level being so high. We'll get it going soon.

Anyone ever made up 60 gates and just set them up with a little bit of rules like the reverse through gates idea and run it, or do the runs just usually end up being free spirited type? just curious?

Yes we did it last month @ the folsom rodeo grounds. A lot of area but a lot of poison oak. We had 5 guys set 10 gates each which turned out pretty good. After parker settles down a bit were going to get together with him to go over some stuff. or we can get things rolling once we figure out how we want to proceed. We can set a date to get together and put ides together and go from there.

A few of us started it but the guys in reno wanted to get together with us so we put it on hold for a bit.
