Hey guys! What's goin on? Thought I'd pop in and say hi. Recently I have been building an old Dingo (Ambers old one) and took it out yesterday with my son. So, he wants one now and his bday is coming up in November. He wants the Deadbolt. Kind of cruzing around and trying to gather some info, I see the servo has changed, still junk? Or will it hold it's own for an RTR? I also noticed metal axles? Anyone running a deadbolt want to chime in? The other option would be the RTR jeep which looks totally awesome, but that thing is a lil on the pricey side..... Anyway driving the dingo around the neighborhood was the first time I drove an rc car since I've been up here (2 years in Oregon now). There are some killer spots here with all the rivers and what not. I've even spotted crawlers out while fishing! (I've caught two chinook salmon this year!). I'm sure soon enough I'll have some pics to post up here. This weekend I'm going to the coast for my bday and plan to bring it with me... Mike |

Hey Mike! Good to here its going good in Oregon. The deadbolt is definitely the best value in RTR. RPP, CKRC, AND Tower all have the same prices with online coupons all the time which brings the price down more. The servo is a little stronger but still won't last long. And the new esc isn't a castle anymore, which kinda stinks. SSD is a newer company making some more scale plastic axle housings for the scx. Check those out. |

Getting closer ......... So I just couldn't pull off buying my son an SCX,..... He really wanted a crawler like daddy, so we settle for the ECX Temper (perfect for a three year old!). Pretty good bang for the buck and the kid is super happy. Here's a pic of my mini me performing his first mod, wheel weights... |
