| Crawler store in southern calif area?
I'm looking to get into "Scale Crawling" and would like to visit a hobby shop that specializes in crawlers to visit/buy a crawler. Any ideas? Thanks, Ron Doh! Southern California area within a hundred or so miles from the Bakersfield area. |

OK, I'm not understanding this. I'm looking for a Store/Hobby shop that I can walk into, talk to someone that does crawling, and spend some cash and come home with a scale crawler in hand. I am a retired elderly person that likes the "Old Fashion" way of doing business. Recomend what I need, I pay with cash, and go home happy with a new toy!!! Weird, egh? Thanks ahead of time. I'll look thru the rest of this forum to find an event to go too. Ron

Thanks Red Baron, Your using the exact logo that I had on the nose of my formula car back in the day (60's) and was called the "Red Baron" because of my driving, and also my initials! Small world. I'll be putting the Upland store on the Garmin and making a visit. Thanks again, seems like a good group on here. Ron B |

Ron, I live in Bakersfield and although I have yet to make the trip, I hear that Hobby Headquarters in Atascadero caters very well to Crawlers. I have had them ship stuff to me before too. 805-462-2512 I've also been told that High Desert Hobbies in Palmdale is good to work with. But I have yet to try them out. 661-267-6877 Good luck! |

Hobby headquarters has everything crawler. I know the owner personally and he is a kick ass dude. Get in there and ask for Derrick. I have bought numerous crawlers from them. Always great service.

RCP is a really great shop, with lots of friendly service and help. I personally try to do ALL my business thru them when it comes to my scalers (yes its plural I now have four of them) Hobby Headquarters in Atascadero is also a really good shop also, but a little far from me. If neither one has what I need (very rarely) I use RPP in Northern Cal. This coming from a guy who works in a hobby shop, that can sell you stuff too. |
