Totally new to hobby. But I do come from the 1:1 world of crawling. But since starting a family had to downsize abit. I haven't even seen a 1:10 crawler run in person just happened across Rccrawler and started buildin. I have a frogger based rig that I still need lipos, charger and tx/rx and I'll be good to go.

| Re: Modesto ca I'm a long-time RC enthusiast and crawler. I moved from San Diego to Modesto about 3 years ago and I've still yet to find a really good place to crawl in town. I keep checking down by the rivers but not a lot of rocks. Mainly mud and or homeless people. I got so desperate to find a local place that I built a small course in my backyard. If you want good crawling spots, sadly you gotta drive outta town. I met a guy at AxialFest from Diablo Crawlers out of Sonora County. Apparently there is a ton of crawling spots up there. One of these days I'll actually go check it out. Also, been wanting to crawl Yosemite National Park one of these days.

Actually, here's some pics that kinda show my backyard rock course. I've actually added on to it since these pics were taken. Right now with all the rain, the course is a bit over-grown and in need of straightening up. Once the rain finally lets up, I'll get out, fix it up and take some more current pics. The last pic with my Buddy-L SCX10 is the most recent pic taken and as you can see in the background... its a bit over-grown at the moment. |
