About 4 of us with Wraiths will be at Vasco tomorrow @ 8am till noonish. We moved a ton of rocks last weekend and now have some great sections linked up for a decent trail, ran out of tennis balls QUICK and need to chop up more haha. If anyone wants to join up out there we are more than happy to meet some new faces. Nick |

Its in Fremont, just N of the Dumbarton toll plaza. Best to hike up to the backside becase all EBRP's have the no R/C policy. Parking is $5 and theres a ton of lines to choose from..

Hey NorCal...Meatwad and I went all the way to th end of the drive in and parked at the visitor center prking lot...then climbed up the hill right there. When you pull into the park and pass the booth, park in the first lot on the left You can walk to the top of the "matterhorn" rock and crawl all over that thing. Pretty good spot for scalers, a little too easy for the comp stuff but I'm sure you can find some lines to run though. If you end up on your lid, its a long waaay to the bottom.

There are three of us that have wraiths...two of us are pretty regular about crawling and are always looking for a new place to wheel. I'm sure we'd travel to you guys...Vasco seems like fun. There's a couple of spots here in the south bay...Alum rock park and Linda Vista park. Alum rock has a fair amount of water and has resulted in both Meatwad and I to waterproof our rigs...and not by choice...we've both been submarining... but with no damage Linda vista is like Disneyland .....but about 15 miles south additional travel for you guys.... Either way, would be good to meet up with some others....especially wraith guys |

Guy's just be careful with the rangers at coyote hills, Weve been kicked out of there 2 times for some kind of bird they have there that makes it's nest in the bushes They ranger thought we were drilling in the rocks until he came up and saw the rc's and then he asked us to stop running the rc's and if not we would be asked to leave lol LERK has been thinking of a Rock City run so i'll keep this thread informed |

ALL east bay regional parks have a zero tolerance policy for Rc's of any kind, just watch out for the puke green trucks and you will be fine. The weird thing is you are allowed to fly gliders at coyote hills though. The bird nesting issue is mostly on the frontage road that takes you to the pier. They usually put up orange netting to keep the birds from congregating on the road.. |
