All right guy's. I'm up, getting the rest of the flags and trail signs ready for the practice course..

I have yet to have to pay to park on the dirt road at the lake, so just park and play. If anyone asks for parking fees, then we will worry about it. At the worst it is $5 and I have only paid that twice over the last 8 years when a Axial nationals qualifier and CalRocs was held there..

SEE YOU OUT THERE... 11:AM

I've had two notes left on my car on two seperate time for not paying to park there, and they would turn my plate number in to the sheriff at the end of the day just an FYI.

I would say pay the parking fee for sure On another note the qualifier was for the AWCC not the nationals and I don't think they hold a Cal-Rocs event at Amador lake I think your talking about the AWCC and Cal-rocs event at Donner pass. Could be wrong, Hopefully i'm not lol.

I got the eye roll. Thats what I said when I heard it was in Amador County....whaaaat.

No, there was a CalRocs event held at Lake Amador in that same gulch, just a lot less water that year.. Ahmer of CCRC had photo's of it in his old shop in South Sac because his friend competed in it.. That might be what brought attention to that area for the RC crowd and the og CCRC events...

I think it was one of there first years as a sanctioned event. They later shutdown the whole CalRocs series not long after that comp and reopened it a few years later...

Also we were told today by security that since we were not using the lake for fishing or boating we did not have to pay to park, I guess it depends on who you get... Now an organized competition that is collecting money as entry fee's has to pay, cause that's how it works any where you want to do business, fun or not..permits... Next time I'm over there I will find out what is what...

I can see how it would be pretty bad ass to 1.1 at that spot Wish I could have seen thast event lol Yea most of the time we hold comps there so it could go back and fourth with the parking fee, Damn parking fees.

Nice pictures Martin, that one picture of your Rock Bug hanging up-side down made me pucker up. Those Trail Marks are nice they really add something to the course.

I use to be big into scale R/C trucks, I wish there was a group around when I was doing it. I live in Ione, crawling alone was boring lol
