Default So-Cal GTG...WERE NEXT???

Will guys i think its almost time for another GTG!! Im still saying somewhere in Simi Valley area. I drive there almost everyday for work and the rocks that you can see from the 118 look like insane spots to crawl. Kinda like 1:1 moad rock climbs.

I remember back when i use to Mt bike in Porter Ranch area there was a nature park like place with a little stream running thur it. Now thinking back that place would make for some great scale trails for smaller rigs, and there trees EVERYWHERE for shade.

But i know most of use have bigger things then TLTs so thats kinda out of the question. theres one more spot kinda like that, i havent really checked it out yet but its shady and looks to have some water and trails. oh yeah and some big rocks

I have seen, and im sure most of you who drive the 118 daily do, a huge rock formation by Topanga Canyon that looks to be pretty cool and fun for supers.

Lastly i have seen pics and heard that The Placerita Canyon Nature center has so insane rock water falls, hill climbs, and trails

i will be heading out to these spots next wednesday to take pics (I PROMISE). im heading out there later for 3 reasons.
1st. i dont have a rig right now, My clod has been traded for a Brand new bruiser, My little TLT bug is having its tires cut so i have 2 down 2 to go!!i sold my brothers tuber to fund my 1:1 jeep!! i hope he doesnt find out!!
2nd. i dont work that day!!
3rd. its suppose to cool down!!

I will keep you all updated!!!

Danny

hey danny,
i've seen those spots you are talking about off the 118. they look pretty rad! it would be cool to have some 2.2 specific gtg's as well for the scale/TLT crowd.

congrats on getting a bruiser! that's next on my list!

Ok so i went to one of the spots today and it was a great spot!! if i were to decride it i would say in a dryed up water fall and if you make the wrong move you or your rig may fall 10-15 feet!!! There was so much to do there i just didnt have alot of time to scout it all out, the sun was setting!! So i got some pics of what i could see and what i crawled, there was lot more just as i said i didnt have time!! if you all are interested i can find the directions. its pretty easy you get on the 118 and go east or west (i think its east and west) to De Soto and get off, and at the bottom of the off ramp you'll see it!!

I WILL be waterproofing at least one rig if we go!! let that tell you something!!
Heres the spot

crawling shots!!

if you look in this pic in the upper right hand corner, this a weird ghostly blur!!! woooooooooo

LIL VID!!

I will post up the "good" directions later today off mapquest and/or google map. Im thinking we have it in two weeks, Around august 5-6. That will give everyone time to finish up rigs and decide if its worth the drive. i will be heading up there once more around mid next week with a water proof rig so i can get some more shots. so look forward to that!!

Well it depends on where you crawl!! where i crawled there was some shade, you can tell by all the leaves in the pics!! There are trees everywhere its just a matter of finding a rock under a tree!! I promise there more shade them Mt. Baldy!!

How about a morning crawl session before it gets hotter than hell? Once again, I would need a ride.
