Default Long beach

I am hoping to be starting my new job in the next 3 weeks. It will put me in LB every other week. Anyone close interested in crawling?

I'm in bellflower and work in Huntington/Newport beach. My truck isn't done but there are a few spots I've scoped out in HB that have potential

Every Wednesday afternoon a group of crawlers meet up at the rocks at Corona Del Mar. Itr may be a fairly compact place, but there are lots and lots of scale trails and almost an infinite number of lines to try. The scenery is fantastic, and in summer there are a lot of iitty bitty flesh filled bikinis crawling around on the rocks to distract us from picking and making lines. Come on down, the more the merrier

Here are a few in car videos that I shot today

45 minutes give or take with traffic isn't bad. I can probably swing that. What time do people start showing up?

Between 4:00-4:30. In the winter months that may not leave much daylight, but we often crawl (with lights) well after dark

In the spring and summer they charge $15.00 to park in the lot right next to the rocks, so some people find places to park up at the top in the neighborhood and walk down the stairs. But in the winter months they do not man the toll booth so parking is FREEEEEE.

I live in Long Beach, and need to go crawiling.
Corona del Mar is some good crawling, maybe I will get out of here early next wednesday and head down there.

Does Chad still show on Wednesdays?

Was at the swap meet this weekend and found a bruder recycling truck in great shape.

Columbia Park in Torrance is a good crawler spot. It's located on the northwest corner of 190th street and Prairie Ave.

Thank you, I'm gonna try Delthorne this week (a member PM'd me about it ) and I will try Columbia Park next week. I just got my Traxxas Summit and never knew these spots are so close... Columbia Park aka home of the pigeon feeder guy parked on 190th

Anyhow I like to crawl with you guys from time to time. My Summit is not a scaler but I'm a good sport

I played at Del Thorne a couple of times before I discovered Columbia. Now there's now reason to go back. They are 1/2 a mile from each other so swing by and take a look at Columbia (yes, home of the pigeon man). It's a great location for both crawling and scaling.

The smooth river rock makes for challenging traction when dry. Pretty nice place to crawl isn't it. I think I need to get over there this weekend.

Almost broken my neck on more than one occasion. My son and I drop by whenever it fits in our schedule. Sometimes we se other scalers/crawlers but most of the time we don't. I like to go either early or late in the day to avoid too many kids playing on the playground or the rocks. Not sure when I'm going to drop by this weekend...
