Why would you think we gave up on this? Because we haven't posted about it in a week?

I'm going to drop off my vacation time at work this week.... I'm taking Thursday-Monday(19-23) off. Figure I'll try to head down Thursday sometime, setup the trailer and do a bit of crawling to make sure everything is setup for that area, then on Friday when everyone else starts to show up I'll be ready to wheel!

I'll have two trucks ready to roll.... The Mini-'Tot and my Maxx truck.

Alright then, I'll take the 20-23 off.
So if I was going to wimp out and fly up, would I fly into Sacramento, or is there somewhere closer with cheap flights?
Mapquest says it's 13+ hours driving from here

This should be awesome.
Hey, who said girls can go?

What's is gonna cost me to get you to take footage of the weekend? And I mean footage of the crawling and not of your tent! 8O

TTT....

Alright, as of now I only have May 19-22 off from work. Getting that monday off(23rd) would have been pushing it since we run a small crew on Mondays.

So.... How many other people are SERIOUS about this Shasta Crawl Off?

Does anyone have any ideas of camp grounds around the Mt. Shasta area that can hold a group of our size?

Again I'm just pushing this to the top so people don't forget about it!

Money would be bad.. it's not a competition... it's for fun.

You're going to make it RSI? WOW!! You should try to make ORCRC competition on the 27th too........ .

I've been doing research from time to time for locations that would hold a group of say, 20 or so people... 20 might be a bit high but extra room is better than too little.

So far I have come up with at least two decent looking campground facilities... although I have never been to either I would assume that if nothing could be found in the park, we could all pile into a couple of rigs and drive a few miles to a good looking location. My only thing is that with both of these being State Parks the price to stay will be quite high per night....although if we can get a group camping area it might not be too bad.

Here are the two that have sparked my interest so far.

#1 Castle Crags State Park
#2 McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park

What other spots have people come up with?
