Nor-Cal vs. ORCRC....???? Summer 2005???
 

Okay, I know you Cali folks say that the Bay Area is Northern Cali but really... it's like 300 miles South of the Oregon/Cali border, not really Northern Cali in my books :D

Are all you Nor-Cal guys in the Bay Area? Or are some of you more North? Anyone up for a meet halfway(Portland - Bay Area)? Say around the Mt. Shasta area? Shasta is closer to you guys than it is to us but I'm willing to drive the extra 50-60 miles to "play". Plus Shasta is a nice area to chill for the weekend for camping and to go crawling.

What do you guys say? Say sometime in May? Weekend in/around the Shasta area?

Toyo, some little know facts about CA...

Anything north of Sacramento is considered Oregon :lol:

I think this is a good idea, chit, I might even take time out for it. Rent an excursion, pack 8 guys into it and head out 8) Maybe even get two, it'd be cheap when split among that many (plus driving would be easy since you could change off every hour)

Ya but the mexico is almost 500 from san jose which is the south bay area. We are definitely Nor-Cal. There aren't too many RedNecks in SoCal.

I would be in for it and would fire up the rolling getto. My wife has done a lot of back packing and will know of some good rocky areas. I do know that one time she complained about a lava field that went on for ever.

where would this be???? mt shasta??? and when exactly.... i am going to hound my dad till the day of the meet lol.... it would cool to go and camp a weekend and crawl the whole weekend :D but thats just my thought

I am definately in. If we could get all of the northwest guys, all of the norcal guys and all of the utah guys...oh my gosh. But in may it may rain and all of you cali guys would have to get your trucks wet.......hehehe.


Maybe we could get a few people to make the trek from the denver area and make this a huge event. I bet we could easily get the mags to cover it if we gave them enough advanced notice.


Nothing like a huge event to start all of the secret garage building is there. :wink:

I spoke with my wife and she could not rember the trip she must of had a brain fart! Anyway we should have some one go and scout out a good place, No body liked my find :flipoff: :D

alright im in as long as i keep my grades where their at :)...... what does everyone think of the weekend affair??? good idea or not..... and there could be like a 2 day event a big big competition.... that would be sweet...

Badger and I were talking about it and thinking of a long weekend. we'd probably leave on a friday morning crawl saturday and sunday and drive home monday. Who knows what will change by then. Heck I may even have a job.

Memorial weekend would be the best choice to do this but that weekend is normaly taken by family and/or parties :wink: Unless we can figure that everyone would be free to party with the crawlers during that time??

I figure that in late May or even very early June the weather will be some what nice for a weekend outside playing with high dollar electronics :D


So.. How about I toss up these three dates for everyone to discuss for the big ORCRC/Nor-Cal Crawl Off

May 20 - 23 <- Weekend prior to Memorial Weekend
May 27 - 30 <- Memorial Weekend
June 3 - 6


Like rckjeep mentioned... Plan to meet up on Friday afternoon-evening then crawl Saturday & Sunday, then everyone can head home on Monday.

So, if we can narrow down those 3 choices to one date, then we'll just need to pick a location. I've been through the Shasta area only a few times but I know there has to be some spots that would be great to allow everyone to camp and "play" all day and all night.

If we could get the Colorado & Utah girls to make the trek over to this side that'd make this that big event that everyone has been waiting for....... :twisted:
