If you're interested in comp crawling pm and I'll give you my number... there's a few options out there. for a moa crawler comp crawler, used Berg or new bully 2 rc4wd sells them RTR and as a kit... tower hobbies sell them. the RTR LOOKS REAL GREAT... I want one myself. you also have a kit crawler from Dluxfab.com...

Welcome to the site. If you're on facebook try and find the SD Scalers group. Areas I'm familiar with are in del cerro by SDSU, glider port by UCSD, a crawl spot off beyer blvd, crest, flynn springs park, west hills in santee (might be off limits now due to construction), summit ave in santee, quarry at mission trails (might be off limits now too).

Others can chime in.

Welcome to the RC hobby. My first hobby grade rc was a traxxas stampede...beack in the 90s...about 20 years ago Granted the current stampede is way better than the one I had.

As for a charger, there are tons of options. I have a thunder AC something or other. In addition to my hitec X4. Typically chargers will charge Lipos and Nicads.

Lol 20 years ago? My first rc was a tamiya blackfoot back in like 91?

Anyway what up san diego! Hope your holidays were great and spent well with family.
New to the forum but not rc. Was into drifting but my father in law let me try his yeti at thanksgiving and i wasted no time and got mine 2 weeks later! Hooked!!!

I just got a venom ac/dc charger on amazon for like $60. Pretty good. Auto sense just plug it in the right port for your ammount of cells and press start!

Oh and i live in tierrasanta, near mission trails. I actually went to another trail near there behind a church, pretty rad! Shephard trails, starting on via valarta. Watch those bricks at the small creek crossing! My yeti hydroplaned and hit a brick, snapped my left knuckle and hub like twigs.

Happy trails!

Dudes?
Anyway, went to poway park today. Found a rad spot in the back by the dog park for bashing and crawling. And met a cool dude at the skatepark who has a wraith. Told him to get on here so we will see!

Oh and my knuckles are good now, got me some ssd scale knuckles!

Valley center? Just walk out your front door!!! Lol that whole area is crawler heaven!
I go to bates every year for my familys pumpkins, terrain looks incredible everywhere.

Went to poway park again today. Front left wheel nut let go after a couple jumps. I found it and tightened it back on with my storage unit barrel key lol then did some crawling in and out of the creek. Eugh... pond scum... had fun though! And convinced my son its cool, might get him an ecx barrage to learn with! He is 8 btw.

Lake Wolford across from the cafe is a good place as well as the other side if the lake but I've only been there once.
