Comp Crawling Clubs Would any of the Southern California 2.2 comp guys be interested in combining San Diego, OC, and the High Desert clubs for a 2x2x2 comp season. My thoughts are to have 2 comps in each area, instead of a bunch of small comps. We would have a total of 6 comps and hopefully large turnouts. This would also help the guys who want to run the U4RC Rock Race Season. We could schedule around each other and still have a weekend or 2 for scaling. With a lot of the regulars calling it quits or moving out of the area this could save us all a lot of time and trouble let me know your thoughts Dave |
Re: Comp Crawling Clubs I have wanted to do this for several years and have mentioned it on many occasions. Unfortunately interest did not develop. My idea was each club could host two comps and that would ease the workload for every club just as you proposed. I believe the travel was the main reason I got veto'd. |
Re: Comp Crawling Clubs I would be down for this. . |
Re: Comp Crawling Clubs Some like the idea but some don't. There are a few that like having two comps a month. I came forward with this idea last comp season and then also talked to some of the sd club members and we decided against my idea. |
Re: Comp Crawling Clubs Looks like this may work out West coast will host 3 (high desert) west coast will join in on 3 of San Diego's comps and Chris Derek and me will host 2 in the OC I'll talk to Mr Holmes after "World's" maybe we can create a world's qualifier from one of the combined comps |
Re: Comp Crawling Clubs ZoSo - When you have the 2x2x2 comp season dates, Please Post em up, so I can see if I will be able to help out for the SD guys. And If you need any help creating Flyers for these comps PM me. -Glenn |

Re: Comp Crawling Clubs We are very excited to bring you the new 2015 Comp Season Schedule! Thanks to the help of Dave at RCP Crawlers, Tom with SDRCRC, Chris with OCRCRC, and Axialnut's help, Rich and I are pleased to present this years integrated season schedule. No longer will you need to travel strictly to the High desert to be part of West Coast Rc Crawlers comp season. With help from WCRCC members and adjoining clubs in the region we will have: 3 comps in the High Desert 3 comps in San Diego 2 comps in Orange County/Inland Empire area We hope this will bring more drivers to the sport and will help keep the competition side of the sport thriving. It is our hope that if some drivers wont need to drive as far every month it may allow them to enter our series they may previously not been able to run. At this time we are going to concentrate on 2.2Pro cars strictly unless there is enough interest in a 2nd class. Comp #1 October 4, 2014 WCRCC location: Tall Boys Comp #2 November 15, 2014 SDRCRC location: TBA Comp #3 December 6, 2014 RCP/OCRCRC location: TBA Comp #4 January 3, 2015 WCRCC location: TBA Comp #5 February 7, 2015 OCRCRC location: TBA Comp #6 March 14, 2015 SDRCC location: TBD Comp #7 April 4, 2015 WCRCC location: TBD Comp #8 May 9, 2015 SDRCRC location: TBD Once again this is a very exciting time for us and a HUGE thanks goes out to everyone involved who allowed this to FINALLY come to light. Lets have a great season! |
