welp... the temperature lottery has decided to challenge our day, would seem so it's gonna be a warm Sat. this Oct 4th. good reason why we are starting our GTG at 8:00 am If you're coming out to Simpson Park for our GTG... ...remember to bring plenty of water and probably a hat to shade yer brain bucket keeping a watchful eye open for slithering reptiles would be a good thought. The son and I are intending to be there prior to the 8:00 am start up... nearer 7:00 - 7:30 am And we'll hope to see ya out there Drive safely... |

^ photo/video show "error" when I attempt to open your links !? hope you can fix the links 'cuz I'd like to see youtube is better for video display JMO I just do photo's at photobucket. I will get some of my son's video posted here shortly. Had a good time... Glad you all could make it out to Simpson Park... I think another GTG at SP, nearer the middle of this month is a possibility. Will post up those intentions when I know for sure. Thanks to all... for your participation Last edited by TacoCrawler; 10-05-2014 at 05:54 PM. |

| Re: Hemet/Dynamic scale crawlers
anyone want to roll Simpson Park again !? I was wanting to set up a GTG on Oct. 18th But due to a conflicting work schedule of my son... I have decided to establish the following Sat instead. Sooo... Anyone have interest for a GTG @ Simpson Park on Sat. - Oct. 25, 2014... Lake View Trail say around 8:00 am, again ? ^ because the cooler winter months have not seemingly started yet note ! The Park does not open until 7:00 am and can be closed to the public if a "fire hazard" day is determined by park officials. I do not have any control concerning this possibility of closure but hopefully it will not be of issue on this set date. City of Hemet, Simpson Park Directions/Google Map gps coordinates N33*42'18.9" W116*55'18.7" ^ someone said these coordinates were not precision accurate tho' I took them from the upper parking lot near Lake View Trail. just sayin' as I've not double checked them. They will get you to Simpson Park's entrance gate, regardless. Dynamic Scale Crawlers FB page BTW... if you have not been to this park before... You must go thru the entry gate to the right... and continue up that road all the way to the top. (dead end) Any cars parked near the entry gate are likely to be bicyclists... and are most probably not with our group/gathering. If the very upper parking area is full... there is a 2ndary parking lot just below the upper one. Probably a couple hundred yards walking distance to Lake View Trail. --------------------- $$ ------------------------ I will be presenting a monetary award (gift certificate) for the most scale looking and scale operated rig at this GTG. Dynamic Hobbies of Hemet, CA will be our sponsor for this award. and will be offering a $ 20.00 redeemable gift certificate to the sole winner that is selected by our judging panel. I will be selecting three judges (randomly) to make final selection. These judges will be selected prior to the start of our trail run. The judging will take place prior to our start and during our trail run. The judging will not only include the most realistic scale (static) model... But will also include the most realistic scale driving that occurs on this trail run. The person whom displays a combination of the most realistic static model and realistic operational skills will be concluded as that day's certificate award winner. !! To be perfectly clear... there will be only one winner... the judging will include both static and active display in combination. !! note: a spooky holiday theme will net additional attention by our selected judges. !! Yes... I'm trying to promote a more realistic crawler visualization of your scale crawler as you operate that. and I will hope to get a quality video of your best driving skillz. All are welcomed to make attempt for this monetary award/certificate. tho' I will be excluding myself from this competition. note ! I will be the sole judge, if those 3 individuals selected to be judges choose not to accept the responsibilities as participating judges. The details of this GTG will also be posted (shortly) on FB and physically at the Dynamic Hobbies storefront. Let us know if this casual scale competition (here or on FB) might be of any interest to you !? If anyone cannot make this GTG date... contact me personally... it is a possibility that I can arrange a GTG run aside from this set date. In the future... we intend to have a GTG twice a month... (beginning/middle) and even possibly a weekday GTG for those whom must work weekends. Just need to communicate with me so's I know something We had a great turn-out back on Oct. 4th... so I'll hope we can do as well on this next GTG run Last edited by TacoCrawler; 10-07-2014 at 04:36 PM. |
