| Red Bluff, CA scalers/crawlers?
I'm trying to find anyone in my area who is into scale crawling and trail driving. I recently got a Wraith Spawn and my wife got a Yeti and would like to go out and have some fun. I've tried doing some searches but haven't been able to find any recent posts for my area. I've been working on a dirt track for racing type RC's and am planning to build a crawling course on my property as well, if there's anyone out there wanting to help drop me a line and we can get to know each other. So if there's anyone in the Red Bluff, Cottonwood, Anderson, Redding or Chico area let me know. I'll also throw in the counties for search purposes. Tehama, Shasta and Butte. |

| Re: Red Bluff, CA scalers/crawlers? Yeah it's not too exciting at this point, my wife wouldn't let me chop down any trees so it's the best layout I could come up with. It's set up so multiple layouts can be made with minimal effort. It can be a large oval, a figure 8, or a shape that's in between those. Due to the layout it tends to be a very high speed track. I also decided that rather than digging and constructing permanent dirt jumps that I was going to build multiple wooden jumps that could be moved easily to change the layout of the track. I also have an idea for a wups section that I want to build at some point. In practice being able to change the layout so easily keeps it from getting boring. It's not amazing but it definitely gives me something to do with my rc's without having to leave home, randomly bashing in your back yard gets boring pretty quickly.
