Hey gunner, is rivers end the warm water canal? I'm in HB and it sounds like its near the harbor entrance. The spot @ the end of bolsa chica is my local spot. It's pretty cool. There's a whole hillside climb with multiple paths you should check out. There's a really cool group of guys that meet out there on Thursday evenings for some bashing and a night crawl. It's a real laid back atmosphere and keeps getting better. I'll be out there tomorrow. There's a couple small track style areas you can run fast rigs and plenty of areas to get your crawl on.

Where in the sgv are you located? More towards I.E. and OC? Or more towards la? Don't mind finding some spots close by (downtown) since I have no areas in my immediate vicinity to crawl.

Hi Bryan, I'll message you next time we're headed out somewhere local. I work down in Irvine. Do you currently have a crawler or are you looking into one?

Anyone still active here? This is my favorite spot 33.816146,-117.766496. From there you can do trailing, to rocky river bottoms, to sandy desert sections, and almost always mudding.

I check in from time to time but always seem to miss people by a few days. I'll have to look into the spot I posted. Went to CDM for a night crawl with 8-10 people last night.

CDM IMO is a terrible spot... high desert is where you'll find the best rock in So cal.

True, the only problem for some is getting there.

Terrible seems pretty strong. Some really cool lines to get creative with. It's a bit small but I'll take beach climate crawl I g over desert climate any day of the week. Vasquez was amazing but driving 2 hours to get there isn't practical for local OC guys

Wait, where am I?

Sorry for the long delay. Lots of things going on with the Crawler. I really like this place. Parking right where your running. and great food. We go in the early AM or just before sundown on weekdays to beat the crowds. We usually have the dunes to ourselves.

I am in Orange County (Fullerton) and would like to do some crawling locally. I have an Ascender and I'm working on a second one I'd also like to go to Axialfest in 2017 so I plan to build an SCX10 II.

I'm not retired so I work a lot but could hit the coast on a weekend sometime.

I'm in HB and would like to meet up with folks doing some local crawling.

One of the best trail runs I've found in the area is 33.580478, -117.762286 in Laguna Canyon. A bit of a drive just to run by myself. But a great out and back trail, some rock sections, not too technical, very scaler friendly.

I went to this place in Lake Forest the other day. 33.644269,-117.665892. Under a bridge. It's pretty technical but I've never really crawled 1/10 scale. I'm used to books and things in house with Micros. I'll take some photos next time. Anyone still go out? I'm in irvine I'd check Laguna Canyon.

Hi all,
I'm in Placentia. Was wondering if people actually still meet up? Or just willing to get to know anyone else in the area so I'm not playing with rc cars by myself. lol

I'd be interested once I build one of my crawlers. I'm in Irvine as well.

I'll try to post up the next time our group is meeting up @ one of the local spots in OC. We just did a morning session @ CDM yesterday with about 15 rigs. Not sure where the next stop is yet.
