Looks like Sunday 9-Noon or so, Corona Del Mar beach parking lot - crawling rocks on the far west of the parking lot. Three of us for sure, but there are always peeps there.
Come on out.

If enough show up we can setup a comp course.

The best info and events I have found are on FB - Renegade Rock Runners and LA Crawlers. Look them up, join their page, and attend events.
I'll try to remember to post when our little group hits the trail again. This weekend is a maybe. CDM has been a favorite during the summer weather, but there are plenty of options. El Modina open space in orange is a very fun trail to the top of the hill, great for crawling. Park on the north side, residential area, pick up the trailhead there.
You're welcome to tag along on upcoming outings.
Very near to you is Gilman Park - rather hidden and never a soul there. Nice wilderness park and great for a trail walk with a crawler.

The photo above is on top of the hill at El Modina Open Space in Orange.

I just moved to Brea so Im still new to the area, dont know all these locations. I do know that I live walking distance from Craig Park which is across or connected to Gilman Park.

Thats great news! I'll have to pay that place a visit.

I'll look them up on FB. Please do keep me posted if you visit any of the local trails.

LARCC is a pretty active club - find them on FB.
Club GTG yesterday at Corona Del Mar rocks, Newport Beach - pretty good turn out, lots of fun.

All the group runs and comps locally are on Facebook.
Renegade Rock Runners
LARCC
Crazy Crawlers

And a few others. There's somthing going on almost every weekend.
Be sure to plan for Proline By The Fire May 18 Apple Valley
And AxialFest is end of June at Donner Pass
We hit CDM rocks most weekends.

@Frank211 on here is a local club guy too.

I have no idea why peeps want to use FB instead of a forum. I guess FB has a broader appeal, or they can focus on a local viewership.
Lots of nice crawler folks out there.
And they're all going to PLBF.

I don't either. Why not use both?

Most of Renegade club is based out of San Fernando and north. Stephen Richardson is a terrific ambassador of the hobby. Great events.

LARCC are more central LA, but they drive all over the southland to run trucks. Ralph Olquin heads this one up. Very active.

Crazy Crawlers spun off LARCC, Eddie is in Fontana. They do something almost every weekend, from Fontana to San Diego.

Apple Valley group - and there are a couple of them up there - are based out of a store in Apple Valley.

Creep N' Crawlers is another FB group I just found based out of Santa Clarita, about 300 members.

Most of the FB groups are closed, so you have to join in order to read and post. Keeps the riff-raff out. And a lot of peeps are members of more than one, lots of mix and match, and all go to events each club hosts.

The two most popular places to run trucks and compete is Vasquez Rocks - somewhere out north on Hwy 14 - you can google-map it. And Corona Del Mar Rocks at the west end of the beach access parking lot. It's right at the mouth of Newport Harbor and some of the best crawling anywhere. There are almost always a few crawlers out there on any given weekend.

The third most popular but a little further away is in Apple Valley at the Horseman's Center out at the end of Bear Valley Road off the 15. Acres of granite knobs - some of the best rocks we've ever seen, and site of the Proline By the Fire annual crawling event. Google this one too.

I pretty much loathe FB, but for group events and activities for RC trucks it's where the action is. Oh well.

I just moved to Irvine cypress, I don't know where you are all active, it is really boring to crawl alone.
