That was a great video Tom, prolly your best yet. Was awesome seeing Bill's buggy leaf and all that articulation... Have not seen that before (I have minimal experience with full scale crawling). The yellow Toy was cool too. What did the driver think to accomplish using his arm to push himself and the truck away from the wall...?! He must be He-Man or something. Justin... I love your Unlimited. Shame my wife won't let me get one.

Did you guys just go up for the day? What is the round-trip time if you did?

My dad and i will try to go next time maybe. Do you think that we would need lockers? I haven't ever been "real" offroading before, so i don't have a clue what the limits are without them.

Took my High Lift out today for probably its last run in its current, completely stock form. Found a spot where the sprinklers ran a bit too long... Needless to say, lots of mud splattered everywhere. Nice thing though, got very little on the tranny (which is in the process of being sold). Bent a leaf a bit, should be an easy fix after I restored them. Had they been how they were when I first got them, it would have probably broke.

We went up for a day trip.

The yellow Land cruiser was a guy Manwhalo and I work with. He has a rear locker and front limited slip type diff.

Norcal: I am no expert, but it seems that we got through easily because everyone had locked axles and big tires.

Nice pictures Paul. Next run I will have my longer shocks on and won't lift a tire so easily.

The video doesn't show how off camber some off the stuff was and sticking your hand out to touch a rock, is sometimes the only way to keep yourself from falling out. (when you don't have doors and only lap belts). Really not safe though.

So do you think it would even be worth going next time? We have one of those two though, sorta. We have some big(ish) tires, 33's. But I don't want us to go and hold all you back.

I was a passenger. My Nissan has 4x4 but open diffs, little tires, IFS, and a host of other reasons to scrap it for a more capable rig. I did drive manwhalo's Jeep and it kicks rock butt!

I don't know. You should talk to Manwhalo, Bill, or someone who knows your Dad's Jeep a little.
