There is some trails off of the Eagle Lakes exit near the Fordyce trail head that I know pretty well. If you want to plan a day up there, let me know and I will be happy to be your guide. We just need to check for trail restrictions right now. Fordyce Trail is closed:-( , but I don't know about the surounding area. I will check into it.

My dad and i want to get out and use the Jeep good. We havent really tested the lift. I was talking to Paul about a time to go up there so maybe we should start thinking of a day. Would this weekend be to early? Maybe Sunday. Because next weekend is the Folsom comp and i dont think that weekend would work.

Hey Norcal did you see these two posts about that area? Check out the link. You may want to think of a different national forest.

I won't be able to go for a few weeks, not that I matter. we should consider waiting till late july early August, maybe that will help with the fire restrictions and hopefully the weather will cool down. Restrictions are really tight up there right now. I'm gonna put an electric motor in my Jeep so I can go out on the trails.
