Langley here. Just getting into the crawling scene. Going to start building an XR Chaotic Crawlers (smash chassis) rig next month. Looking forward to heading out to some local spots if anyone has any suggestions close to Langley that I may not be aware of. Also, anyone have any XR10 axles they would be willing to part with? PM me if you do |

There's a club that's based primarily out of Vernon and they're hosting scale competitions all the time. They're called the The Rock Dogz. And there's another club based out of Westbank that does runs pretty regularly, they're called the WolfPack Crawlerz. You can find either club on Facebook. Most of the organization here is done on and via Facebook, that's kinda why I don't participate much anymore, I hate the FB drama (and idiocy) that's prevalent. And you're right about the shop situation. It sucks. We used to have a really good crawler shop (in a shared space with Okanagan Sports Cards & Comics) but it died a couple years ago. ABC tries but they're not crawler guys so their inventory is hit or miss and their prices are a solid 15-25% higher than they should be. There's another decent shop in Vernon (make my fun), they do better at crawler gear but again, there's a premium on all of their prices.. Feel free to shoot me a pm anytime if you feel like smoking a few joints and going for a crawl sometime. I've been here for years so I know some decent spots but I haven't been getting out much lately. If you haven't already figured it out, the best spots to crawl in Kelowna are Knox Mountain, Kuipers peak or Mill Creek; Mission creek is ok for taking the dog and/or wife for a walk but the crawling is pretty blah. Knox is ultra busy and technically we're not allowed to be walking in the areas (they're off-trail and the whole mountain is considered a sensitive area) where the crawling happens although I've only ever been told to leave once. Kuipers is hands down my favourite spot but it's a bit far some people to want to drive to. Mill creek is decent and easy to access. Ellison provincial park/campground up by Vernon is fairly amazing if you don't mind the drive. Last edited by QuesoDelDiablo; 08-23-2021 at 11:38 AM. | |

Let's try this again, as it didn't let me post my previous msg.. Thanks for the info, I added those groups to my FB and I'm for sure to try those places out as I've only been bashing in my backyard trying to get my Wraith setup properly.. I thought it was stock when I bought it, so I bought a 23T Pinion (closest ABC had to a 20t) only to find out that it has a 87t spur, so that ratio hooked up to a 4370kv motor, it's stupid fast.. So following Harley's articles, I have a bunch of new parts coming it.. |

It's the 2.2.. As we speak, it currently came with 125mm shocks, so it's a little top heavy.. I made myself my own droop kit, so I can lower it a little, as well as I'm going to add some weights to the wheels (which are aluminum beadlocks).. I'm still waiting for my sensored ESC, crawler tires, 2 speed trans, ans 8 ch receiver.. This is how it came when I bought it.. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...0074003094830/ Last edited by Mustang351cca; 08-24-2021 at 10:11 AM. |

Vancouver (East Van) here. Just getting in to the hobby. I grabbed a new TRX-4 '79 Bronco on Boxing Day from a local retailer, Magic Box Hobbies. I am starting to look for local spots... I am looking for folks to crawl with, bounce ideas off of, and maybe the odd part swap. |
