Heyy, im out in metchosin, got a fair size "crawling park" in the back yard and usually do a sunday run somewhere... Mill hill is awesome. i think theres some big get togethers here in vic but havent figured it out yet.

baconCHDDRchips 11-16-2011 08:19 PM

i used to live on the island. loved it. but fack that place. its a dead end life if you still live there (no offense but really there is not work and the cost of living is just stupid unless you still live with your parents) but there are some amazing places to crawl. head out too sooke, hope on the 61 and go to Wiffen Spit. i was back home in august and got some awesome footage out there. good rock, good scenery, GREAT weed hahaha.

carried away 12-07-2011 04:55 PM

LOve the " dead end life" got a cushy union job. Surrounded by forest and away from the bs of the bigger city's. All depends on what your lookin to outA life. Don't know any one that can't find a job, even the hippys I know work steady. Never movin from the little rock.!

the cost of living is just too much. trust me if I win the lotto I will move back in a heartbeat but until then I will work in alberta and help rape the earth hahaha. where abouts in Methcosin are you? I am from Langford. used to go fishing out of Cheana (forget how to spell it) all the time, same with Peddar Bay. I miss my boat

I'm just up the road, in Duncan ... but I'm on a micro crawler kick right now and my 1/10's are in ... um ... let's call it storage for now.

I've been off the Island ... came back ... in my world there's the Island, and everything east of the Staright ... it's all Newfoundland to me. Never had a problem finding work, just need to want to work for a living. Can't see issue with the cost of living either, you enjoy Alberta ... I'll enjoy my Island life.

Meh!

cost of living is RETARDED out there. I dont know about Duncan :lmao:cause thats barely the island... "Get drunk in Duncan". try living downtown Vic.. I will gladly stay in Alberta and make 10 fold what any islander makes.

haha ... yeah ... and I'm a broke ass hippy too ... and apparently you're now a millionaire? Can't see me moving to Alberta for a pay cut anytime soon. Although I do visit Edmonton time to time so I can keep reminding my Brother how much he misses the Island. "thumbsup"

But, you got me there though, Vic's kinda retarded pricey. BTW ... just so we're clear ... there's this whole other part of the Island ... called the rest of it ;-)

We always come back home eventually.

I've lived in San Francisco and LA, and Victoria tops it all on the expensive scale, no doubt.
If weather permits, I'm thinking of heading up to Mt. Doug this weekend to test my new SCX10. 8)
