Looking for some info on carisma truck

When my brother ordered the carisma truck he didn't realize it came with the shitty 1400 nimh set up and would like to change it to 3s what should I change over I know motor but I'm also new to this any info on what to do and for parts will be appreciated thank you

Which Carisma truck? Most likely there's a way on the electronic speed controller to change it to accept a Lipo battery. May or may not be a 3 cell. Maybe only 2-cell which is still way better then the Nimh.

Fwiw, the reason a lot of rigs comes with Nimh batteries or no battery at all is some countries have strict policies when it comes to shipping Lithium chemistry batteries due to fire potential. Most of these safety rules effect air freight. The RC manufacturer has to design the product to ship to many places around the world and they don't want to limit their market or the way their retailers can quickly ship product to the end user.
