Sorry, at this time, I don't have any plans for mounting different trannies in the SW2.

The chassis plates are 10" long x 3 1/2" tall.

The chassis' look great from what I see. I ordered one this evening and am sure it will look even better in person. Thanks for the great product.

Thanks for the order bizjak. The pictures really don't do it justice, the tumble and burnishing process really make them stand out.

Sorry to be pushy but did any get shipped this week yet? Will you be notifying us when you get them out there? I'm like a little kid waiting for Christmas. Oh wait...... I am.

Thanks Bender!

No problem on the questions.

The holiday break did push me back by a few days, but all the orders for just chassis plates and skids are going in the mail this morning.

I'll be putting the finishing touches on the servo/link mounts today. The orders with link mounts will all ship in the next couple days.

Thanks.

Default Paypal sent for the chassis and mounts

Paypal sent. Looks like a great chassis.

EDIT:

I only sent $65 over for the chassis, but I need the link mounts too. I have PAYPALed you the $30 additional. Thanks

Default link setup

I have one of your chassis and links on order and I wanted to do some work on the links befor it shows up. I want to do a 60/40 setup, do you have any recommendations on link lengths. I will be mounting my links the same way you have in your build up. I want the wb to come out at 12.5'' . Also do you have any shock lengths that you would recommend for the same setup. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tha Doc

To get a 12 1/2" wheel base you will use the stock TLT lower links as uppers, with my link mounts. The lower links are 105mm Maxx turnbuckles, which is equal to a little over 4". The lower links on my rig measure 4 3/8" center of rod end, to center of rod end. So depending on how much of a 60/40 setup you want, just lengthen the rear lowers the same amount you shorten the front lowers. Do the same with the upper links. I probably wouldn't go much more then a 1/2" shorter on the front links, the uppers are fairly short to begin with. If they end up too short, the driveshafts may hit them as the suspension cycles. I'm running Maxx 2.5 shafts so the fit is tighter then if you were to run Stampede driveshafts.

Hope that helps.

Exclamation New and improved link mounts and tranny skid!!

I just want to give everyone a heads up, I've made a few changes from my original prototype, to the production version.

1. I made the Delrin tranny skid a little longer then my original. I also radiused the front and back edge of the skid, instead of a chamfer. I forgot to mention in the first post, the Delrin tranny skid is designed to hang below the chassis side plates. This will help eliminate getting hung up on the aluminum chassis, and getting high centered.

2. I changed the link mounts too. They are tumbled and burnished now, so they match the chassis. I also machined some of the access material off the back to give them a cleaner look.

ALL chassis' include these changes, even the ones that have shipped. I just got around to taking/posting the pics.

Thanks

Hey Bender, how do your electronics fit in there? I couldn't figure out how you mount your battery? A pic with your electronics setup in it would be nice. Thanx

Here are a few pics Jake, I mounted the ESC on the rear link mount plate. The reciever is just zip tied to the chassis, the battery is zip tied to the steering servo.

Exclamation

All SW2 orders have been shipped. The 2nd batch went out today. I upgraded everyones shipping to First Class via USPS, because everything got backed up on my end.

Thanks.

All orders now include a swanky new Bender Customs windsheild banner too. The first handfull of chassis' went out before I got these banners, anyone from that first batch that wants one LMK.
