How much would shipping be for 2 or 3 sets? I would like a couple sets, not sure if the shipping is per order or if it is $2 shipping per set. Glad to see a vender doing these. |

JFAB - how tough would it be for you to make some of these tabs with the mounting edge pre-radiused for either 3/16" or 1/4" tubing?

Ok,this may be a dumb question but what would you use them for?Would you weld them onto your frame as mounting points for shocks etc?

exactly - custom made tube shock hoops to mount the shocks, and drop down tube subframe to mount suspension links

yes James I'm definitely intersted. i think the only thing is they would need to start out a little bit longer overall so that after being radiused, they would still be long enough so that there is sufficient clearance between the shock end or link end, and the tube the tabs are mounted to. I would be willing to buy afew sets of each size. trying to make them myself isnt the best idea, as i couldn't get the consistency like you can, and also if i got the tabs you already make, and radiused them in myself, i think they would end up too short. so please let me know - i'm ready to go on this! i can paypal you a deposit - how many sets of each would be my minimum? thanks John |

OK James I just measured my rod ends - 3/8" diameter, so 3/16" center hole to outside edge. Your existing tabs are 1/2" from center hole to mounting edge, so even if we lost the 1/8" by radiusing the mounting surface for a 1/4" tube, we should still have 3/8" from center hole to tube the tabs will be welded to, so we should still have 3/16" clearance for the outside edge of the rod end to to tube the tabs are welded to. does that sound right to you? If so, there's no need to start off with them any longer than they are now, unless I'm not thinking straight. |
